Salvador Dali was born on May 11, 1904. Died on January 23, 1989. He was 84 years old when he died. Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. He was known for Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Writing, and Film. When he was five, Dalí was taken to his brother's grave and told by his parents that he was his brother's reincarnation, a concept which he came to believe. In 1916, he also discovered modern painting on a summer vacation trip to Cadaqués with the family of Ramon Pichot, a local artist who made regular trips to Paris. In 1922, Dalí moved into the Residencia de Estudiantes (Students' Residence) in Madrid and studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. In 1929, Dalí collaborated with surrealist film director Luis Buñuel on the short film Un Chien Andalou (An Andalusian Dog). His main contribution was to help Buñuel write the script for the film. Also, in August 1929, Dalí met his lifelong and primary muse, inspiration, and future wife Gala, born Elena Ivanovna Diakonova. In conclusion, i picked Salvador Dali because his art looked magnifisent to me.. I picked him because his pictures cought me when i was looking for an artist..

My art work looks kinda like Sophia. My subject matter is i wanted to do a self portrait of her. The title of my project is Sophia Ann Campbell. The media my art work is from is google. The tool i used was my pencil, tissue paper, water color paint, paint brush, and water. Salvador Dali inspired my artwork. My artwork expresses a personal issue. The emotions that my artwork try's to show is sadness/ happiness. My goals as an artist are not good. This piece did not help me reach my goals because it didn't turn out the way I wanted. I leaned that i cant draw at all and it didn't turn out the way i wanted. My final piece is not at all how i wanted it to turn out. This will influence me next time to mix colors and experiment before actually doing it.
