The second amendment By:James sharp

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Lets start with what a militia is. It is military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency. Being necessary to the security of a free state is that having fire arms in a state, and is needed to have a militia per state. the peoples right to bear arms cant be taken away because that would be going against or constitution.

In this image of banning fire arms which goes against the constitution. the second amendment which states the "the people have the right to bear arms. But that doesn't mean you can have a fire arm wherever you want. the government can't ban your right to have a fire arm. But private company's can just like schools and state building can ban you're right for safety.

Supreme Court Cases

In the second amendment it states that the people have the right to bear arms and the supreme court case of Columbia et al. v. Heller. they tried to ban the peoples right to have a functional handgun in the home. The people who want a fire arm in there home have to have a trigger guard on it which makes it nonfunctional. Or have the fire arm unloaded or disassembled. also no person can have a unregistered handgun. this statement by the government goes against the second amendment.

"DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ET AL . v . HELLER ." DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ET AL . v . HELLER . Firearms and liberty, n.d. Web.

This image is showing that firearms made this country because without it we would still be with England. the picture above is the second amendment and how we the people have the right to bear arms. this right cannot be infringed by the government because that will be going against the constitution. this amendment is given to the people we need self defense when the government cant be there. Also is given to protect ourselves.
