Hello. I'm Caitlin eckvahl.

About Me

My name is Caitlin Lian Eckvahl. When I was born doctors read my birth certificate wrong and printed my insurance cards as "Caitlin Liam Cheungeckvahl." It also says I'm male. It's been a 20 year battle trying to have that corrected but to no avail. I go to the University of Oregon to study public relations and nonprofit administration.

I currently hold three part-time jobs and I work at the UO Wesley Community Center, Teaching and Learning Center, and Allen Hall Public Relations. I like to volunteer and every summer I work for a program called Vacation Bible School. Last year I was the photographer for VBS and that set me up for a part-time job in Italy. I worked as an assistant English teacher for a kindergarten in Siena.

I think I'm fairly competent with Indesign and basic Photoshop skills. I'm not completely clueless but I'm a little technologically challenged. I'm always open to learning new things and I hope J399 helps me bridge the gaps between me and tech savvy children.

My two claims to fame are being featured on KVAL and designing an art installation for Nemo Design.

I like to think I can cook and dance and sing, but I actually can't really do any of those things. It looks like I can though. I like weddings, cats, and Panda Express. I studied abroad in Italy for four months and studied Italian language, culture, and wine. My cooking teacher strongly believes in punches of salt instead of pinches. Crazy story - I once went to Amsterdam on Halloween and met a guy in line at the Van Gough museum. He's my boyfriend now. He's alright.

The world is my playground.

'More' was my Italian teacher's favorite word. He thought it was funny. I like to read memoirs because I like when books are based on true stories. I don't have the best taste in music but I can sing just about any top 40 song between 2008 to 2017. I hope that will pay off one day on a game show. Next to poor music is my even poorer taste in television. I love juicy dramas and I regularly watch The Bachelor and Grey's Anatomy. I have watched all 278 episodes of Grey's Anatomy so I've basically wasted my life. If I could visit any time period it would be the future so I can see how much Bitcoin is worth, and determine wether or not I have made sound investment decisions. If I could have dinner with anyone in the world it would be the makers of Toontown so I can ask them why they took away the thing I love most. RIP Jolly Trolley.
