Merry Christmas from MNA Thank you for your prayers and support throughout 2018

So when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. (Galatians 4:5)

Blessed Advent and Merry Christmas to you from Mission to North America! Advent and Christmas provide us with such good space to consider the greatness of God’s love. How great is the Father’s love for us? So great that at just the right moment, he sent the Son into the world to redeem us from sin, guilt, and condemnation, and to make us his children, children of the Living God, who enter the work of our Father and his Only-Begotten Son in making all things new in the world, as his Spirit is at work in us and through us! This is truly amazing love, a love divine, all loves excelling.

Thank you for your prayers and gifts to Mission to North American as we share the love of God in the gospel of Jesus Christ through Church Planting, Missional Partnerships, and Church Renewal across the United States and Canada. Your generosity has been used by Jesus to further our many avenues of ministry. Here are just a few MNA ministry highlights from 2018, showing how the Lord has put your generous giving to good use in sharing the love of Christ:

We are prayerfully on track to see 50 or more PCA church planters move to the field by the end of 2018 in the United States and Canada.

MNA Disaster Response has mobilized for major responses to Hurricanes Florence and Michael, with recovery and rebuilding efforts in their initial stages in the Carolinas and the Florida Panhandle. The Charles H. Jones Family MNA Disaster Response Center, located in Rome GA, was also dedicated this fall.

12 new chaplains have joined the 203 PCA chaplains on active duty, in the reserves, or with the National Guard, who bring the gospel to soldiers and their families on a daily basis.

The PCA Unity Fund, offering scholarships for theological and ministerial training to minorities active in PCA churches, was able to provide $48,300 in financial assistance to qualified minority candidates, as well as to begin an endowment for the Fund, with the first $75,000 given toward a long-term goal of $5,000,000.

The Korean American Leadership Initiative (KALI) has been established to promote leadership development among second generation Korean Americans in the PCA. Alex Jun, Mike Park, and Owen Lee serve on the leadership team of KALI.

Korean Ministries, led by new coordinator Bill Sim, continues to serve first generation Koreans in our Korean-language churches and presbyteries.

MNA’s ESL Ministry will have offered 47 training sessions in local churches by the end of 2018, an increase from 29 the previous year.

These highlight but a few of MNA’s avenues of ministry. Please visit pcamna.org to see all of MNA staff and ministries, and consider how you might be led to pray, give and serve with us in the year ahead.

As 2018 draws to a close, please consider a year-end gift to MNA for our Ministry Support Fund (MSF), which is MNA’s general fund supporting all of our ministries, providing for organizational leadership, infrastructure, special events, and support services. Also, might you consider a designated gift here at year-end to support a specific ministry? Or The PCA Unity Fund? You can find information on how to give on our website at pcamna.org under the Support MNA tab in the top menu.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! May this Christmas season and the New Year ahead be filled with the joy of the knowledge of the Father’s great love for you in Jesus. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are (I John 3:1). And may you share this joy far and wide!
