jetBlue Danielle D'urso

jetBlue's headquarters are located at the Brewster building in Long Island City, New York. After meeting with officials at the Governor's mansion in Florida, jetBlue decided to stay in New York due to its historical links and business partners.
jetBlue flies to 97 countries from it's hub in New York City including a majority of the Caribbean islands. A newly added destination is Cuba!
First and foremost, jetBlue focuses on safety. Every time one of their planes flies, the crew is dedicated to the safety of all passengers. The next core value is integrity. An honest and open work environment distinguishes jetBlue from other airlines. jetBlue incorporates caring, passion and fun in it's corporate culture to establish a unique workplace. The customers take notice of these values and appreciate the experience on this airline.
The position is in the corporate accounting department and specifically within the revenue side. Some job duties include journal entry posting, assisting with month end closing procedures and working with the staff on any new projects that might come up. I will gain valuable experience working with the revenue team and learn how the application of accounting principles applies to real world situations.
jetBlue is my favorite airline to fly. I admire the way they treat their customers. I can see myself working for them because their values are representative of a company I strive to work for. The opportunity in their accounting department is an excellent way to begin my corporate career and help me decide if its something I can see doing in my future.
