Daily Tasks: Planning, Preparing, and Delivering lessons to the children in the class. Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out by his or her students. Collaborating with other teachers. Looking over students and making sure every one of them understands what they are being taught. Etc...

Work Schedule: Around 8-9 hours a day 5 days a week, average of 53 work hours per week. (Not including extra time taken to grade papers and make lesson plans during the weekend) Monday through Friday Hours: 7am-3pm (average hours)

Work Environment: Other teachers, students, parents, school staff, administrators, and the school board. Setting: School/Home

Issues/Problems: Students may not care to learn therefore they do not pay attention, Parents could complain about the way you teach, the way your grading system works etc...

Benifits: teachers are entitled to insurance for themselves and their families, including medical, dental and vision coverage. They are also entitled to sick days and paid leave.

Education: You need a bachelors degree in teaching.

Work Skills: Communication. Verbal communication skills are extremely important in teaching, Critical Thinking. Teachers need to be able to solve a variety of problems, often under a tight deadline, Organization, Passion, Patience etc...

Salary: The average salary for a highschool teacher is $57,200 A year.
