“Bowie’s career got off to a slow start in the late 1960's. His androgynous appearance and penchant for wearing women’s clothes tended to put people off — not surprising, given the homophobia of the era. It wasn’t until he initiated his first major change of style and appearance, perfecting his otherworldly alter ego Ziggy Stardust.”- Broad Street Review.

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself."- Ralph Waldo Emerson For a guy who’s supposed to be taking a break after his famous known band The White Stripes breaking up, Jack White sure does have a lot going on. In recent months, he’s become a photographer, released a live album with Pearl Jam, and launched the first vinyl record into space.

Importance of Nature

“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.”-Henry David Thoreau. In his interview, Bill Nye asks us, "If you stop exploring your backyard, the bottom of the ocean, species that live in the canopy rain forests, if you stop looking for those, if you stop exploring what does that say about you? Saying oh I'll stay home don't worry about me I'll be fine; I tell ya if you take that attitude you're not going to move forward as a species."

“Do not lose hold of your dreams or aspirations. For if you do, you may still exist but you have ceased to live.” -Henry David Thoreau. “Steve Jobs pursued his dream and his products have become household items. The world is very grateful for him following his dreams.”

“Our life is frittered away by detail... simplify, simplify.”-Henry David Thoreau. Jhene Aiko got into Buddhism at the age of 15. She admits that letting go of her ego can be very challenging in the music business. She states that you need to remember “it’s not the boss of you” and to ignore it. She also tries not to look at herself on television or get caught up with being a celebrity.
