The Smith Collection Montana 2014 - Part II

In which Tina and Adam get a private tour of a yet-to-be- opened aircraft museum and ogle the airplanes.

One of the highlights of the collection is the only flyable example of the Supermarine Seafang. This was a modified Spitfire designed for carrier use and had two contra-rotating propellers.
The Spit is one of my favorite planes and this is a stunning specimen.
Also in the collection are the Vought Corsair F4U...
...and Curtiss P-40 Warhawk in Flying Tigers livery.
A Curtiss Jenny, a Piper J-3 Cub, and a Staggerwing Beech (it's a shame about the color).
The whole collection is being prepped for a display in a new museum opening soon.
