REFLECTIVE INTRODUCTION WORKING TOWARD THE ULTIMATE GOAL

Welcome to my Clemson University school/personal portfolio. My name is Douglas 'James' Fulton III and I am a senior from Charleston, SC. I am proud of where I am from and I am proud of where I am now. This project has been a great experience and I am proud of the work that I put in to get everything accomplished. I learned so much from this course and it is very satisfying to see all of my hard work come together. This project was a lot more work than I thought it would be, but I am a better overall student because of it.

I really enjoyed learning about this Adobe Spark program and it is a tool that I will continue to use in the future. Like I said, I really did learn a lot from this course and I believe that it has made me into a better overall student. I really enjoyed learning about the different inner voices and how to channel my self-talk patterns to get into the best positive mindset. Time-management was one of my biggest weaknesses coming into this course and now I feel like time-management and organization has become one of my biggest strengths. It was also very helpful to learn about the different studying techniques and how to come up with the best strategy to study for each class. I think that the post-test-analysis and the professor interview were the two most beneficial exhibit's for me. In the past, I have always been very reserved and by performing these two exhibits, I grew more comfortable with being able to approach one of my professors. The value based goal setting activity was also very helpful because it helped me realize what is most important to me in life. Once I found out what was most important to me, it was easier to identify my goals and know why I am working to get them all accomplished.

The two self-designed exhibit's were also very helpful because it gave me an opportunity to study different aspects of my life and to learn about myself and improve. The sleep study was good for me because I needed to find out what type of sleeping schedule is best for me as well as how many hours of sleep I need to get each night. The weight loss study was also good for me because it proved to me that I am capable of losing weight when I am committed. Through the weight loss study I am pretty sure that I have found the best type of diet for me to continue on the right track.

To be honest, I never thought I would take a class like this during my time here at Clemson. Looking back now, I wish I had taken this course earlier in my college career because it would of been nice to know then what I know now. This class does require a decent amount of work, but it is worth it because you get out of this class what you put into it. I am proud of the work that I have put into this portfolio and I hope you enjoy it! Go Tigers!
