Artwork through Music Creative Practice Week 6

For my creative practice this week, I chose to create a dance piece again. To me, music and dance go hand in hand. You can create a dance without music, but it is hard to keep my body still when I hear music. The song I chose was written and performed by my cousin, Amanda. Amanda has been a songwriter for a few years and she creates some incredible work. For this particular practice, I chose a new song Amanda has written, one I had not heard before. I decided to let the music lead my body.
I had never heard the song, but it was such a quite, upbeat song! The product of the dance was kind of goofy and messy, but it was so much fun to move that way! The song seemed a bit more nostalgic than I was expecting, but it was also refreshing to dance and move to something acoustic.
