Such as the attractions from the wildlives or the big rain which destroys the plants. Besides, they sometime have to solve the communication problems with others. Will Jody grow stronger after having these experiences? Read the story to find out!

My favourite character

My favourite character is Ory Baxter, the mother of Jody. Although she seems stingy and mean, it is just her way to protect her family. She is just like our mothers who educate us and put the family first. She might be strict but if she forgive Jody's mistakes easily,Jody will still be a child, not a teenager. I think she is the one who actually makes Jody becomes mature.

The meaning behind

Why does this book call yearling even though flag, the fawn, does play an important part in this story? I believe that the author is metaphoring Jody as a yearling as he is not decisive and independent. By the end of the story,Jody killed his flag to stop it from eating their food. I think it is the turning point if his involvement.

The end

Thank you☺️☺️
