I am promoting the Michigan Humane Society, a non-profit animal organization & adoption center. Their mission as stated is "To end companion animal homelessness, to provide the highest quality service and compassion to the animals entrusted to our care, and to be a leader in promoting humane values."
In simpler words, they want to provide the best home possible for every pet that doesn't have one.
Fun Fact: The Humane Society itself was founded over 60 years ago.
One of the main ways you can help out, is adopting a pet! They have dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, turtles and much more.
Another way you can volunteer is by participating in the In-Home Heroes Animal Foster Program. In this program, you can take home an animal that may be sick or injured and not ready for adoption and care for it. It is short term and convenient for most people who have extra time on their hands or can't have a pet year-round.
In the foster program, food and supplies are provided, and you can choose which pet you'd like to foster.
Lastly, you can also help out the Michigan Humane Society by simply donating! You can even do it right now on their website. They will take any amount of money and it is greatly appreciated.
