A Duke's Life: A Timeline Shelby jarrard

December 2014: This is Duke and his two brothers about a week before I adopted him. KC Pet Project put this picture on their Facebook page and said the puppies were available at the Zona Rosa location. Duke is in the middle.

January 1, 2015: This is the day I adopted Duke outside of KC Pet Project. He was so little and only weighed 6 pounds. My mom is standing behind me.

January 1, 2015: This is in the car on the day that I adopted him, on the way home from KC Pet Project.

January 1, 2015: This is the first picture we took together inside of my house. This was also on the day that I adopted him.

January 1, 2015: On the same day, after I took him home and gave him a bath, I took him to PetSmart. At PetSmart, I bought him this bed, toys, and everything else that he needed.

January 2015: This is just a picture of Duke laying in his bed, being cute.

January 2015: This is a couple days after I adopted him in the car. We were on our way home from his first vet visit. When we were done at the vet, I took him to the grass and tried to get him to go to the bathroom, but he would not go. About five minutes into the drive home, Duke pooped on the rug that I put in the seat for him to lay on. That is the exact reason that I put the rug in the seat, just in case he made a mess or something. It was disgusting.

February 2015: This is Duke playing outside in my backyard.

February 2015: This is Duke playing in my backyard, in the snow.

March 2015: This is Duke and I at the park. I started taking him to the dog park when he was about five months old. You can start to see his growth, he doesn't look so much like a puppy anymore, but more like an adult dog.

April 2015: This was Duke and I before I went to Prom, he was about 6 months old.

October 2015: This is another picture of Duke and I at the dog park. He was 1 years old.

December 2016: This is a picture of Duke sitting on Santa's lap at PetSmart. He was scared and not happy about it.

February 2017: This is the most recent picture of Duke and I, taken about a week ago at the dog park. He is 30 pounds, and has recently grown some grey hair around his snout. He will be 3 years old this October. My puppy grew into a mature dog very quickly.

The far left photo is of Duke when he was a small puppy, just hanging out in my room. The middle photo is of Duke and I at the dog park in 2016. The far right photo is of Duke on his second birthday, October 28th of 2016.
