Feeding America The Quest To End Hunger

Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks and the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. They help provide food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs.
According to the Institute for the Study of Homelessness and Poverty at the Weingart Center, an estimated 254,000 men, women and children experience homelessness in Los Angeles County during some part of the year and approximately 82,000 people are homeless on any given night.
We appreciate the help!

When you give to Feeding America, you are joining them in the fight against hunger. For every $1 donated, the Feeding America network of food banks secures and distributes 11 meals to people facing hunger.

Organizations such as Lambda Chi Alpha at Cal State Northridge help to spread awareness and raise canned goods for the philanthropy Feeding America.
Watermelon Bust, an olympic-type competition where sororities at Cal State Northridge contend in watermelon themed events, takes place every semester in order to help out the cause
Canned Goods Last Year

Last year over 4,000 cans were raised and were donated to local food bank MEND. This year, their plan is to raise over 5,000 cans of food for the LA Regional Food Bank which is working directly with Feeding America.

With either monetary donations or direct food donations, Feeding America can help those in need of the basic necessities of life.
