Sample Wedding Day Timeline

One thing to be mindful of while you are making your timeline is what the light is going to do during your couple photos. Do you want to have a first look, a time to see each other before the ceremony and have an intimate moment just you two. Having your first look at noon under the hot, bright sun is typically not ideal, nor is having your couple photos. So I usually recommend doing your portraits after your ceremony if you are choosing not to see each other or scheduling the day so that your first look is not at noon.

Why have an engagement session?

First, engagement sessions provide beautiful images of the two of you in non-wedding attire which can be so fun to have, they reflect your personality and will be invaluable in the future looking back at your engagement time. It's also a time to get to know me and I can get to know the two of you as a couple. Your wedding day is so important and I want to make sure we know each other and you know my shooting style so we can have a relaxing, fun wedding day and we already have spent some time together. We may have inside jokes, or I know just the right thing to say to get you to make that sweet smile. Engagement sessions are like a test run. You get a hair trial... think of engagement pictures the same way. <3
