HEAD OF SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS DECEMBER 2019 LaVonne McIlrath, LCA Head of School

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." Romans 12:10

Most children by now have made their Christmas list and are checking it twice - listing all the things they WANT for Christmas!

There is something that even God WANTed on that very first Christmas so many years ago. He wanted to GIVE. He wanted to give YOU the gift of His Son Jesus Christ, and He wanted YOU to accept this very special love gift. He has made it so simple for us. The Bible says that, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Have you accepted His love gift - the Greatest Gift of all? "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift."

II Corinthians 9:15

"For God so loved...that He gave..."

School Closure Procedures

Several factors are taken into consideration when determining a school closure or delay.

  • One factor is the bussing from our local school districts. We have bussing from Southwest Licking, Licking Heights and Reynoldsburg. If the majority of those districts close we consider closing.
  • Another factor is the condition of our parking lot and sidewalks. If there has not been enough time to get the area safe for the arrival of our students we likely will not have school.
  • A third factor is the timing of the weather conditions and the time in which the area districts make their decisions. We typically must decide early because our extended care starts at 6:00 AM.
  • The safety of our children is certainly a priority, but their education is also important to us. So please be assured that after all conditions are evaluated, if we can have school we will.
  • We utilize our RenWeb Parent Alert system to text and call our families typially between 5:30 and 6:00 AM, and we also notify NBC-4, ABC-6 and WBNS-10TV regarding closures and delays.

It's almost time to Re-enroll!

Re-enrollment begins in January, and the process only takes a few minutes. An email with detailed information will be sent to you before Christmas Break. You simply log on to ParentsWeb and:

  • Elect to re-enroll for the '20-'21 school year
  • Update your family information
  • Update your financial information/FACTS account

The re-enrollment process guarantees your child a classroom seat for next year!

It was owned by Lord Beaverbrook, who was a friend of Sir Winston Churchill. It is now a luxury hotel. Underneath the Christmas Tree, there where may gifts, wrapped up and then I spotted the gift tag on one, Love. This is what the world and people need a lot more." • Chris Sowder - "untitled image" • Unknown - "Heart Drawn in Snow Picture | Free Photograph | Photos ..." • Unknown - "Christmas Background · Free photo on Pixabay" • Toa Heftiba - "Cozy Christmas coffee"
