How the Epiphany is Celebrated in other Countries? Andres azpurua, 1/13/17, period c

"El día de los Reyes Magos" is celebrated in almost every Latin American country. It is a feast which celebrates the three Magi bringing gifts to Jesus when he was born. To celebrate it, on the night of January 5th children leave their shoes outside their door. The next day they wake up to numerous gifts left by the three kings.

This feast day is celebrated in Venezuela like in most other countries in Latin America. Venezuelan legend says that for the kids that do not behave well all year, all the Magi will leave them is coal.

Ir is Venezuelan tradition that in the manger you put the three kings with their gifts along with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

Most Venezuelans celebrate this day with their families at home and have classic dishes like "la Rosca de Reyes" and a sweet bread with dried fruits inside. But some of them also go to Church.

It is said that the Magi bring good luck to your house if they come.
