Genetically Modified Organisms GmO Dairy?!?

Look at all these the dairy products in just one store. Who knows how many contain dangerous hormones.

As of 2007 over 17% of all dairy cows in the United States were injected with growth hormones to increase milk production 10-15%

rBGH has high levels of IGF-1. This hormone gives people an increased risk for developing breast cancer, prostate cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, etc.

Women who consume dairy products with this hormone in them are 7x more likely to develop breast cancer.

Men who consume dairy products with this hormone in them are 4x more likely to develop prostate cancer.

Grace Communications also knows that the Monsanto Corp. was the first to use the rBGH growth hormone are dairy cows. They said, "It artificially increases milk production."

Pros of GMOs :

-more food

-desired traits

-larger produce

Cons of GMOs :

-not declared safe yet

-this particular one can cause cancer

-people might be allergic to what it contains

I personally would have to say that we should not have GMOs or allow any future use of them. While there are some benefits, there are way to many risks and things that could go wrong. I would rather be safe than sorry.
