Why Pharmacy?

My interest in pharmacy began as a kid because I was amazed by how medication can cure and alter our body. The challenges and complexity in the brain’s neural network, and the way it expresses feeling and synchronizes our body to react added fuel to the interest. Delivering drugs to such a complex harmonized system, a physiological wonder, arose my interest in pharmaceutics.

Why Ole Miss?

Ole Miss is a renowned institute for research in pharmacy and drug delivery. The research interests of the faculty members coincided with my interests, which motivated me to join. It is one of the most beautiful and safest campuses in the U.S. Its culture and student-supportive environment also attracted me.

What do you enjoy most about conducting research?

I have enjoyed my work in interdisciplinary and translational research. I've been privileged to have my work recognized at national and international levels in areas of topical drug delivery and drug discovery in neuroscience, which has kept me motivated.

What are your career goals?

I want to use my skills to overcome the challenges of the non-harmonized physiological system and help restore it back to its normal state. I would like to work as a scientist in drug discovery and development stages.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love playing and watching outdoor sports. That is one of the most fun things to do in Oxford. I like doing adventure sports, as well as drawing and painting in my free time.

What is your favorite thing about Oxford?

Tailgating, food and the beautiful campus.

What is your favorite food?

I always love to go for okra fries, paalak paneer, falafel and southern food.
