"Before I Die is a global art project that invites people to reflect on their lives and share their personal aspirations in public. Originally created by the artist Candy Chang on an abandoned house in New Orleans after she lost someone she loved, today there are over 2,000 walls around the world." Each wall has it's own owner, or jump starter, but the idea began when a woman by Candy Chang began the first wall after losing someone she loved dearly. Since then, others have steamed from her idea and began their own walls in their communities.
What we can take from this project is that a community, a country, the world can come together by expressing something everyone has. Something that you truly want to do before you die, that's something everyone has. Our project is similar because we are taking something and sharing it with our groups. So i'm sharing a story with other people, just like people who participate in the Before I Die projects!
