first agricultural revolution

It transformed the world from hunting and gathering to farming. It occurred between 10,000 BC and 2,000 BC, and started in the midwest. Then it spread throughout the whole earth.

second agricultural revolution

It is generally said to have occurred along with the Industrial Revolution. The second agricultural revolution was based on a greater use of technology. It started in Europe in the 1700. The efficiency improved, because the people invented crop farming machines.

third agricultural revolution

The third agricultural revolution started in the 1950's. It made it possible to feed the entire world. It also started GMO's. A GMO is a genetically modified organism or a organism that has had its DNA altered or modified in some way through genetic engineering.
