The Story of Dovetail
We met in high school, fell in love and have been partners ever since. We were musicians before we were a couple, and when we got together we began singing together, and have never stopped. We have been making music for all these years, separately and together, in other bands, choirs and living rooms and cars going down the road.
We use a keyboard, a guitar and two voices to entertain ourselves and anyone gracious enough to listen to us. Although we are officially baby-boomers and know the music of that generation, we have never stopped listening, learning and writing songs. We're just as comfortable doing music from the 90's, 80's and even the 30's, 40's and 50's. We cover artists such as James Taylor, Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel as well as Adele, Lady Antebellum and Steve Earle. We often perform "deep tracks" from popular artists and others who should be popular but are not yet. We excel at pleasing a crowd, and love the challenge of live requests. If we don't know a song yet, give us an Internet connection and a few minutes and we will learn it.
