Adult Education Class December, 2016 Creating the future, one learner at a time

Distance Learning Lets You Learn From Anywhere!

Hello, Everyone! I am sending this newsletter to tell you about our adult education class. Please join us Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the Bristol Resident Services Building or from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at The Woodlands. Email me at if you have questions.

Mount Rogers Regional Adult Education Program students have the opportunity to pursue their goals from anywhere on the map! Distance learning allows you to study at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home, or on the go.

Enrolled students who have at least 12 classroom hours may qualify to have an account for online lessons. The assessments that you take when you begin a class help the teacher know which resources to recommend. The login and password are created by the teacher, and access to the lessons is provided to learners at no cost by the program.

For more information, ask your adult education instructor or contact Mount Rogers Regional Adult Education Program at (800) 322-7748 or is a website that provides articles on current events, revised to appeal to readers of all skill levels. Our Bristol classes have been using this resource to learn about subjects ranging from race cars to twinkling stars. To access interesting articles, ask your teacher for a username and password.

Make time to read to your child every day.
