Christopher Stancil, a senior at West Chester University, shared why he chose online learning. He states "I enjoy taking online courses because I can fit them into my busy schedule. I can log on, pause, and continue the class at my convenience. As a former student athlete and current residential assistant, I know the importance of time management. In fall 2015, I took an Intercultural Communications course online and that semester I earned my first 4.0 GPA! In my final semester I plan on taking another online course to better accomodate my physical class and work times. I am glad that I am taking online courses because having the choice of when to complete my studies makes it easier to balance my busy schedule."

Exciting news for WCU Online
In December 2016, West Chester University became a participant in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, otherwise known as SARA. It's an agreement among member states, districts, and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional compacts. 48 states, as well as District of Columbia operate under SARA, which means any student that lives in those places are eligible to take West Chester University online courses. The map above is a quick guide. For more details please review the state authorization information carefully to determine whether WCU is authorized to offer online education to residents of your state. Still have questions?
