The Scream; Edvard Munch; 1893---- I chose to study this painting and artist because i find this painting really interesting and to understand it better i want to know the background story of the painter and the painting. The subject matter is the person standing in the front with their hands on their face, screaming. He wanted to share his story and background of what he went through with his anxiety and troubles in life. Cadmium yellow, vermilion, ultramarine and viridian were some painting materials used to paint the scream.
