Apollo Son of Zeus and Leto

He was the god of music, and he was often seen playing a golden lyre. He was also known as an Archer, far shooting with a silver bow ,the god of healing, giving the science of medicine to man; the god of light; and the god of truth.

The myth of Apollos lyre,but it wasn't his at first.The story started off when mercury was a baby and walked outside to find a turtle shell lying on the ground mercurial picked it up drilled holes through it ,and tied strings onto it.That night mercury went out and stole apollos cattle and took them to a cave while a slave watched the baby take them the whole time.The next day Apollo was upset about his missing cattle so he asked the slave if he saw anything ,and the slave told him everything.Apollo went to the cave to find mercury lying on the floor with his Lyle and the cattle,Apollo took back his cattle and took the lyre with him.

Apollo was born in the Greek island of Delos, along with his older twin sister Artemis.

Apollo was one of the few gods that the romans kept the same name.

Apollo taught men the art of medicine, so he is often referred to as “The Healer.”

Apollo is credited with killing the Cyclops in retaliation for arming Zeus with his thunderbolt.

Apollo had four kids Asclepius, Troilus, Aristaeus, and Orpheus
