Name: Christa Matlack

Hometown: South Williamsport, PA

Major: Biology

Where are you now/what are you up to?

I currently reside in my home town of South Williamsport, PA and work in medical device product development for First Quality. In my spare time, you can find me coaching youth soccer for Soccer Shots and youth futsal for Ginga Warriors, in addition to playing in local adult soccer leagues.

What is your favorite memory as a Bison?

Defeating Army 2-1 in OT to advance to the Patriot League Final during my freshman year, and holding PSU to a 0-0 tie during my junior year.

What is your biggest piece of advice to current or aspiring Bucknell Women’s Soccer players?

Challenge yourself to be your best in the classroom and on the soccer field. Hard work and perseverance will bring you success at Bucknell and beyond.

What makes you most proud about Bucknell?

The academics. Bucknell's rigorous and challenging academic environment ensures that students are prepared for the next chapter of life, whether that be employment or postgraduate education. Without a doubt, my Bucknell education provided me with the necessary skills to succeed in my graduate studies and in my career.

What was the most valuable thing you learned/gained from your time at Bucknell?

At Bucknell, you not only find lifelong friends, but also become part of the greater Bucknell community. Bucknellians share a camaraderie unlike any other. It's awesome to meet a fellow Bucknellian for the first time and feel as though you are in the presence of an old friend. Did I mention the education? The education was pretty valuable, too.
