Samuel de Champlain was originally from Brouage, Province of Saintonge, France.
Samuel de Champlain discovered the land of Quebec.
Samuel started to explore america but found the country of Quebec.
By finding the country of Quebec Samuel helped by discovering the fur trade.
The Indians had canoes to use to hold 1 or 2 tons of fur. They also started a fur company.
Samuel traveled from France to the Americas from 1599-1601.
His voyage was about 4 years.
