LGA NEWS EDITION 11, DATE: 14 February 2020

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Over the last two weeks we have been conducting interviews with students in Year 11 to discuss their Sixth Form and College course options. It has been fascinating to hear about the ambitions and future career plans that our students have and we have been impressed with how well informed they are. The next round of Pre Public Exams for Year 11 is not far away and it will be another good indicator of how well they are doing and whether they are on track to get on to their Sixth Form or College course.

It was lovely to see so many parents present at the Year 10 Consultation Evening this week. I hope that those who attended found it helpful. Events like these remind us of how important it is to develop a strong partnership between home and the Academy so that we can continue to work together to have a positive impact on children's education.

I hope you enjoy the half term break. We look forwards to seeing the students back in school on Monday 25th February.

Jim Parker, Principal

Revision Plans for Year 11 Students

Below are three revision plans for Film Studies, German and Spanish subjects. These will assist students to concentrate on various topics for each week leading up to their examination. We want them to get the most out of their experience and get a head start. More plans will be made available throughout the coming weeks. Simon Killen
