Helen was born in Alabama in 1880. She was an author and an activist for the blind. Helen was blind and deaf.


Helen started school in 1896 and graduated in 1904.

Helen worked for the American Foundation for the Blind. She asked people to give money to places that help the blind. Helen died in 1968. People remember Helen for her work to help the blind.
