A Market is Born a photo essay by David Stern
The Oak Harbor Main Street Association is working to actively promote a vibrant, historic waterfront community in Oak Harbor, WA.
Historic downtown Oak Harbor is a waterfront community surrounded by the beauty of the Olympics, Cascades, and the Puget Sound. If you follow the gateway signage leading to downtown you will find a clean, safe environment and a warm friendly and welcoming downtown with hometown pioneer spirit.
A new addition to this beautiful town is the Main Street Market. On Sundays from 12-4 you will find a variety of small business owners, artists, makers, and more selling their goods. The Main Street Market supports the local economy by providing a venue for island agriculture and cottage industries, as well as creating a gathering place for community and educational events.

When you're looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon, head down to the Main Street Market. In the parking lot on the corner of Pioneer Way & Dock Street, across from the Mermaid. The market is open 12-4 and runs through the end of September.
