NO HUMBUG ALLOWED
You can live a life of religiosity and piety that has everything to do with the worship of religion and little to do with the real life of God that was put on display by Jesus Christ and which we have been drawn into. There’s a kind of life that has much to do with self-righteousness and nothing to do with Godliness because it’s a ‘game’ of trivial pursuit. It is a virtue-signally routine invented by the prisoners of the law to make their life appear credible. But genuinely spiritual people can see through it as can the un-godly.
LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS
The cross, the atonement, the incarnation and the outpouring of Holy Spirit have nothing to do with a god-obsession with the law. The achievements of God in Christ have everything to do with original life and its multiplication in the micro and the macro. The appearance of Jesus as Messiah and His life in us today by the Spirit has everything to do with a huge generosity, an unlimited love and an abundant joy in simply being. In the trinitarian decision to create human beings we find,

“This decision flowing out of the being and character of God, this decision to share all that the Father, Son and Spirit are and have together with us, and the relentless determination that it would be so, is the true and proper context for the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died because the Father, Son and Spirit absolutely refused to go back on their dreams for us. “For God so loved the world,” Jesus says, “that He gave His only Son...” (JN 3:16). Before creation, the Triune God decided that the human race would be included in the Trinitarian circle.”
(1) A distorted view of God and the meaning of our life in Him is the dead albatross around the neck of many a marooned ancient mariner in the Sargasso Sea of religious torpor. No one should feel obliged to live out this lie when reality is Christ. This reality is that ‘in Him is life and that life is the life of all’. In Him you are imbued with spirit and life. This life that is Christ as us means that we are alive when we are alive.
