Miami Dade Honors College Induction Ceremony
Students from each of the Honors College campuses were invited to receive their pin and officially become members of the Honors College family. While at the induction ceremony, parents, students and faculty members heard first-hand accounts of the Honors College experience from current students, alumnus and our dean Mrs. Charlot.
The Protocol Centre Seminar
The Protocol Seminar was truly a life-changing experience. It is one I feel especially grateful to have been accepted to. Learning proper etiquette, place settings, and the correct international manners of eating a meal are factors that merely skim the surface when discussing the topics I learned in this seminar.
Words of Venezuelan Wisdom from Carlos Vecchio
My fellow classmates and I were once again reunited with Venezuelan politician Mr. Carlos Vecchio. An immigrant in search of political refuge, Vecchio came to the United States in a time where his home country of Venezuela is suffering the most. Throughout his discussion, Vecchio detailed the excruciating life of a South American living in Venezuela. After meeting him at the International Symposium of multiple south american presidents, Vecchio provided his audience with personal anecdotes describing his plan to assist the people of Venezuela in any way he can.
End of Semester Holiday Celebration De-Stress Colloquium
Our final colloquium was a relaxing chance for all North Campus Honors College students to bond before returning to studying for our upcoming finals. We spent time getting to know one another and enjoy each-others company through multiple rounds of board games, ice cream sundaes and ugly holiday sweaters.
