Introduction

This important document explains what school will be like for your child or children at BSM in September 2020. Our vision for learning has not changed. We want your child or children to be happy, safe, curious and successful. We want to assure you that we have referred to guidance that has been issued from the Junta de Andalucia as a well as Health and Safety experts and in addition the central team at The International Schools Partnership.

En este documento se explica cómo será la vuelta al colegio para su hijo este próximo Septiembre 2020. Nuestra visión sobre el aprendizaje no ha cambiado. Queremos que su hijo o hijos sean felices, seguros, curiosos y exitosos. Les aseguramos que tomaremos las medidas indicadas por la Junta de Andalucía así como por el departamento de Seguridad y Salud dirigido por expertos y el equipo central de International Schools Partnership.

School will feel different and we want the start of the year to go well for everyone, particularly our students who have not been in school since March. We understand that everyone has different views about what a safe return to school might be like, however we have considered all the guidance and ask that you carefully read our protocols so that you can share them with your children. The importance of working and communicating together is more important now than it has ever been.

El colegio se percibirá diferente y queremos que el comienzo del año sea bueno para todos, particularmente para nuestros estudiantes que no han asistido desde marzo. Entendemos que todos tienen diferentes puntos de vista sobre cómo podría ser un regreso seguro, hemos considerado todas las indicaciones y les rogamos que lean atentamente nuestros protocolos para que puedan indicar las nuevas instrucciones a sus hijos. La importancia de comunicarse y trabajar en equipo es en estos momentos más importante que nunca.

PRIMARY PROTOCOL

Learning Protocol

1. Students will be grouped, where possible in ‘Bubbles’. A ‘Bubble’ is a group of children who regularly have contact with one another such as their class group.
2. Where possible, children will have the same chair and table throughout the day.
3. Children will enter and exit the class in a line using 1.5 meter distance.
4. Learning will be personalised and the school timetable will operate as normally as possible.
5. Learning for the first term has been designed with the following in mind; i) Building relationships, ii) Developing creativity (creative learning approaches) and iii) Developing the ideas of neuroscience (learning is a brain change thing).
6. There will be a focus on student wellbeing and consequently, there will be no formal ‘testing’ of students in September for any students in either the British or Spanish curriculums. We want students to get hooked into learning again and not worried about being tested.
7. The PE curriculum will be adapted and will not involve contact sports.
8. The annual Formative Assessment window is to still take place from the start of September until Monday 19th October. This formative assessment data will help teachers set students aspirational end of year targets. Formative assessment is based on classwork and discussions, it also involves teachers identifying what progress students are making but using different interactive methods, such as quizzes, student presentations, etc.
9. Target Setting day for students and families will still take place on Wednesday 21st October and at the beginning of October we will decide if it will be a face to face or virtual meeting.
10. Students in Years 1 & 2 will not be expected to bring their own stationery into school.
11. Students in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 will be expected to bring their own stationery, such as pens, rulers, rubbers etc that they then keep in school. They will keep all their learning materials in their dedicated drawer.
12. ChromeBooks for Years 3,4,5 and 6 will be kept locked in students' dedicated classrooms at break, lunchtime and a dedicated space during extracurricular.

PROTOCOLO PARA PRIMARIA

Protocolos para el Aprendizaje

1. Los estudiantes se agruparán, siempre que sea posible, en “burbujas”. Una “burbuja” es un grupo de alumnos que siempre están en contacto entre sí, como por ejemplo los de su clase.
2. En la medida de lo posible, cada uno tendrá una silla y mesa asignadas para todo el día.
3. Entrarán y saldrán de las aulas en una fila, y a 1,5 metros de distancia entre ellos.
4. La enseñanza será personalizada y el horario escolar funcionará con la máxima normalidad posible.
5. Para el primer trimestre la enseñanza se ha organizado en base a lo siguiente: i) Establecimiento de relaciones personales, ii) Desarrollo de la creatividad (enfoque de aprendizaje creativo) y iii) Desarrollo de las ideas de la neurociencia (el aprendizaje tiene que ver con las transformaciones cerebrales).
6. Nos centraremos en el bienestar del estudiante, y por consiguiente no habrá exámenes formales durante septiembre (ni en el curriculum español ni en el británico). Queremos que nuestros alumnos se centren en el aprendizaje y no se preocupen por los tests.
7. Las clases de educación física (PE) se adaptarán de modo que no haya actividades ni deportes de contacto.
8. El periodo de Annual Formative Assessment irá desde comienzos de septiembre hasta el lunes 19 de octubre. Los datos que se obtengan permitirán a los profesores establecer los objetivos de curso para cada alumno. Formative Assessment se basa en los trabajos de clase y en la participación, de forma que los profesores puedan evaluar el progreso de los estudiantes (mediante distintos métodos interactivos como juegos, preguntas, trabajos y presentaciones, etc.).
9. El Miércoles 21 de octubre será el día en el que se celebre la reunión con los estudiantes y las familias en la que se establecerán los objetivos para el curso. Dependiendo de las circunstancias, será una reunión presencial u on line.
10. Los estudiantes de Year 1 y Year 2 no tienen que traer a clase su material escolar.
11. Los de Year 3, 4, 5 y 6 deben traer a clase su material escolar (bolígrafos, lápices, gomas, reglas, etc.). Lo dejarán en su respectivo cajón junto con todos los demás materiales educativos.
12. Los Chromebooks de los estudiantes de Year 3,4,5 y 6 se quedarán guardados en las clases cerradas durante el recreo, el almuerzo y en un lugar seguro durante las actividades extraescolares.

Arrival at School Protocol

1. Families bringing their children to the school must use the one way system. The larger car park to be only used for staff.
2. All students have had their temperature checked at home before arrival at the school.
3. Any student who does not feel well and has a temperature should not attend school. They must remain at home where they can be monitored.
4. Parents drop their children off at the entrance of the Sports Club from 8:30am. We are allowing more time to arrive at school so we can monitor the access and avoid lots of students arriving at the same time.
5. Year 1 and Year 2 to arrive at school from 8:30 and then go to the Tennis Courts and play in the Year 1-2 Zone.
6. Year 3 and Year 4 to arrive from 8:30 and enter the school via the Foundation Gym (entrance near the Sports Club Cafe). Students take their bags straight to class and then remain in their class supervised by their class teacher.
7. Year 5 and Year 6 to arrive from 8:30 and enter the school via the Foundation Gym (entrance near to the Sports Club Cafe). Students take their bags straight to class and then remain in their class supervised by their class teacher.
8. Classrooms with ChromeBooks will be then locked if and when an entire class leaves the room, for example during a fire drill or going down to lunch
9. Should any student or member of staff have a high temperature they will be asked to report immediately to the Isolation Room at the rear of the judo room. Students must remain there until a parent can come to collect them.

Protocolo de entrada al colegio

1. Las familias que lleven a sus hijos al colegio deben utilizar el sistema de sentido único. La zona grande de estacionamiento está reservada al personal del colegio.
2. Antes de salir de casa para el colegio se deberá tomar la temperatura a todos los estudiantes.
3. Los estudiantes que no se encuentren bien y tengan fiebre deberán quedarse en casa, y hacérseles seguimiento.
4. Las familias deberán dejar a sus hijos en la entrada del club deportivo a partir de las 8:30am. Estamos dejando más tiempo para entrar al colegio de modo que podamos controlar el acceso y que los estudiantes entren de manera más escalonada y no se agolpen, respetando así la distancia de seguridad.
5. Los alumnos de Year 1 y Year 2 deberán llegar al colegio a partir de las 8:30 am y dirigirse como siempre por el club a las pistas de tenis y jugar en la zona de Year 1 y Year 2.
6. Los alumnos de Year 3 y Year 4 deberán llegar al colegio a partir de las 8:30 am y entrar a través del gimnasio de Foundation (la entrada está cerca de la cafetería del club deportivo). Se dirigirán a sus clases y se quedarán allí bajo la supervisión de su profesor.
7. Los alumnos de Year 5 y Year 6 deberán llegar al colegio a partir de las 8:30 am y entrar a través del gimnasio de Foundation (entrando por la zona cerca de la cafetería del club deportivo). Se dirigirán a sus clases y se quedarán allí bajo la supervisión de su profesor.
8. Las aulas en las que haya Chromebooks se cerrarán con llave, y también se cerrarán si todos los alumnos abandonan el aula (por ejemplo cuando bajen a almorzar o cuando haya un ensayo de alarma).
9. Si un estudiante o personal del colegio tiene fiebre alta deberán acudir inmediatamente a la sala de aislamiento, detras del aula de judo. Los estudiantes deberán permanecer allí hasta que sus padres o tutores vayan a recogerlos.

Nine Necessities for Remaining Safe at BSM

1. Temperature - take it before you come to school and you may be required to have it taken again when entering the building.
2. Hygiene - wash your hands/use hand sanitiser before or on entering the class, especially if you have been outside.
3. Avoid touching your face or having physical contact with others.
4. Keep to the recommended distance between yourself and others.
5. Dispose of any tissues or old mask in the bins provided.
6. One Way - use the new one one way system around the school.
7. Mask - bring one to school and have a bag to keep it in when eating.
8. Resources - (From Year 3 onwards) bring your own set of resources for each lesson i.e. pens, pencils, rubbers, calculators, do not share with others.
9. Water bottle - bring a full one to school each day.

Nueve reglas para mantener la seguridad en BSM

1. Temperatura - tomar la temperatura al alumno en casa, antes de salir para el colegio. También podrá haber pruebas de temperatura a la entrada del colegio.
2. Higiene - Lavarse las manos o usar gel desinfectante antes de entrar en las aulas, particularmente si se ha estado en el exterior.
3. Evitar tocarse la cara y tener contacto físico con otras personas.
4. Mantener la distancia de seguridad con las demás personas
5. Tirar a la papelera los pañuelos de papel y las mascarillas usadas.
6. En las instalaciones del colegio utilizar siempre el nuevo sistema de acceso de sentido único.
7. Traer siempre mascarilla al colegio.
8. Material de clase - (a partir de Year 3) No podemos permitir que los alumnos traigan juguetes al colegio.
9. Traer siempre al colegio una botella de agua.

Hygiene Protocol

In Primary teachers and Learning Assistants will be regularly reminding and supporting children in their understanding of good hygiene. Please try your best to support this at home as well. A consistent message is important.

1. Wash your hands frequently and meticulously.
2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth as this facilitates virus transmission.
3. Bend your elbow and use it to cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
4. Use disposable tissues to eliminate respiratory secretions and throw them away afterwards.
5. Stay 1.5 meters away from other people.
6. If you are showing symptoms, self-isolate and follow guidelines available on the Ministry of Health’s website.
7. Use hydroalcoholic gel.
8. Wear a face mask at all times even if you are in your bubble group, ie moving in corridors, going to the bathroom, going to the patio, going to the dining room.
9. Access to school is limited for hygiene reasons. Always follow indications from our staff.
10. Prior to entering the school, you may be required to have your body temperature taken to assess any potential preventive measures.

Protocolos de higiene

En primaria los profesores y los asistentes recordarán a los niños las medidas higiénicas, y les ayudarán a respetarlas. Les pedimos que ustedes en casa colaboren también: es importante que los niños reciban mensajes coherentes.

1. Lavarse las manos cuidadosamente con frecuencia.
2. Evitar tocarse los ojos, la boca y la nariz, para no facilitar la transmisión del virus.
3. Para toser o estornudar, flexionar el brazo y taparse la boca o la nariz con el codo doblado.
4. Usar pañuelos de papel para las secreciones respiratorias y tirarlas después.
5. No acercarse a menos de un metro y medio de ninguna persona.
6. En caso de síntomas de enfermedad, auto-aislarse y seguir las indicaciones que aparecen en el web del ministerio de sanidad.
7. Usar gel hidro-alcohólico.
8. Usar mascarilla en todo momento todo el tiempo incluso si se está en el grupo “burbuja” (en los pasillos, el cuarto de baño, yendo al patio, yendo al comedor).
9. El acceso al colegio está limitado, por razones de higiene. Siga siempre las indicaciones del personal.
10. Antes de entrar al colegio se le podrá tomar la temperatura, para así poder tomar medidas de precaución, en su caso.

Illness Protocol

1. If a child or staff member has a high temperature and shows any of the COVID 19 symptoms, the expectations are that they are to make an appointment with their Doctor and remain at home for at least 48 hours.
2. COVID 19 symptoms are the following: any person with a sudden onset of an acute respiratory infection of any severity that includes, among others, fever, cough or feeling of shortness of breath. Other symptoms such as loss of taste, muscle aches, diarrhoea, chest pain or headaches, among others, can also be considered symptoms of suspected SARS-CoV-2 infection according to clinical criteria. Any child who has a temperature of 37.5 is not allowed to come to school please.
3. Students or staff must be able to demonstrate that they have had a negative COVID19 test before returning to school.
4. Should any relative who lives with a BSM student and who has potential COVID symptoms, we kindly ask them to share a copy of a negative PCR test to indicate that the children are safe to return to school.
5. Should a student or a member of staff confirm they have COVID19, the class or bubble and the teacher will be requested to immediately self isolate at home.

Protocolo de Enfermedad

1. Si un estudiante o un miembro del personal tiene fiebre alta y muestra los síntomas del COVID, deberá ir al médico y quedarse en casa durante al menos 48 horas.
2. Los síntomas de Covid-19 son los siguientes. Cualquier persona que experimente infección respiratoria aguda de cualquier gravedad y que incluya, entre otros, fiebre, tos o insuficiencia respiratoria. Otros síntomas como la pérdida de gusto, dolor muscular, diarrea, dolor torácico o dolores de cabeza, entre otros, también se pueden considerar parte de un cuadro sospechoso de SARS-CoV-2 de acuerdo a criterios médicos. Les rogamos que tengan en cuenta que cualquier niño con temperatura a partir de 37,5º no debe venir al colegio.
3. En el caso anterior, antes de regresar al colegio el estudiante o el miembro del personal tiene que acreditar que ha dado negativo en una prueba de COVID.
4. Si algún familiar que vive con un alumno de BSM y tiene posibles síntomas de COVID, le rogamos que nos envien una copia de una prueba de PCR negativa para indicar que los niños pueden regresar al colegio sin peligro.
5. Si un estudiante o un miembro del personal son diagnosticados con COVID, la clase o la “burbuja”, así como el profesor, deberán inmediatamente auto-aislarse en su casa.

Cleaning Prototocol

1. We have employed two additional cleaners to keep the school clean during the school day. They will be responsible for regularly cleaning, disinfecting and wiping down door handles, stair case rails, toilets etc
2. At the beginning of each lesson, students will enter the classroom and be given a paper towel, the teacher will spray each desk and the student will wipe their area down, then dispose of the paper towel in the classroom. Immediately after, the teacher will hand out the hand sanitizer so that students can clean their hands.
3. Students with ChromeBooks will be responsible for cleaning their own ChromeBook, they must not share it with another student.
4. In the evening students in Years 3-6 must be responsible for cleaning their own pens and other school materials.
5. School uniforms are expected to be washed daily.

Protocolo de limpieza

1. Se ha contratado a dos limpiadores adicionales durante el horario de colegio. Se encargarán de la limpieza y desinfección regular de los tiradores de las puertas, las barandillas de las escaleras, los cuartos de baño, etc.
2. Al comienzo de cada clase se entregará a cada estudiante un trozo de papel sanitario, el profesor rociará cada pupitre y el estudiante lo limpiará, y tirará el papel a la papelera del aula. A continuación el profesor les dará el gel hidroalcohólico para que los estudiantes puedan lavarse las manos.
3. Los estudiantes que utilicen Chromebooks deberán limpiar su aparato. No deben compartirlo con ningún otro estudiante.
4. En casa los estudiantes de Year 3, 4, 5 y 6 deben limpiar y desinfectar sus lápices y demás material escolar.
5. Los uniformes deberán lavarse diariamente.

Use of Masks Protocol

1. Staff will be issued with masks issued with ISP masks that can be washed.
2. Staff in Year 1 will have visors as staff in EYFS have.
3. Students in Years 2-6 will be issued with an ISP mask that can be washed. It is the child's responsibility to look after the mask and we expect that every family names their children's mask and washes it regularly. Students can also wear their own mask should they choose to.
4. Children in bubble groups i.e. primary class groups will be required to wear their mask in a classroom with children of the same bubble. The reason for this is that the tables are configured in pairs and we cannot maintain the 1.5 metre distance. They must also wear their mask in the corridors, on their way to the dining room and outside on the patio.
5. Break time snacks can be eaten on the patio. There must be absolutely no sharing of snack food. Students will then go to their dedicated break or lunch time patio at 10:55am with their mask from Year 2 -6.
6. Children in EAL, Additional Learning Needs or Intervention Groups will be expected to wear masks.
7. All students are expected to wear their mask at break and lunch times on the patio. They will be allocated a dedicated space for their bubble, however entering the patio and returning to the main building will involve passing by other children in other bubble groups.

Protocolo de Uso de Mascarillas

1. Al personal del colegio se le facilitarán mascarillas lavables.
2. Los profesores de Year 1 como los de EYFS dispondrán de una pantalla facial.
3. A los alumnos de Year 2 a Year 6 se les facilitará una mascarilla ISP lavable. Son responsables de ella, y deberán ponerle su nombre y lavarla regularmente. También pueden traer su propia mascarilla.
4. Los estudiantes en grupos “burbuja” (como por ejemplo las clases de primaria) deben llevar la mascarilla en clase con alumnos de su misma “burbuja”. La razón para ello es que las mesas no son individuales sino dobles, de modo que no es posible mantener la distancia mínima de un metro y medio. Deben asimismo utilizar la mascarilla en los pasillos, cuando vayan al comedor y en el patio.
5. En el patio se podrán comer bocadillos y snacks, pero no se podrá en ningún caso compartir comida. Los alumnos de Year 2 a Year 6 irán a su recreo a las 10:55am utilizando mascarilla.
6. Los alumnos de EAL, de Additional Learning Needs y de Intervention Groups deberán utilizar mascarilla.
7. Los estudiantes deben utilizar la mascarilla durante el recreo y durante el almuerzo en el patio y en los pasillos. A su “burbuja” se asignará un espacio determinado. Sin embargo cuando vayan al patio o regresen a clase se cruzarán con estudiantes de otras “burbujas”.

Classroom Protocol

1. Classrooms will be set out where possible with students working from a desk that they share with one other. We will try where possible to arrange the seating so that it does not feel like an assessment is going to take place.
2. Classes can have between 25-30 students working in them and we as a school are compliant with this.
3. The school Library will not be open in the first few weeks until we are in a safe routine. When the library is open, we will inform families about the protocol. It is likely that when books are used, they will need to remain in quarantine for 48 hours before being issued again.Guided Reading Books can be used solely within the bubble.
4. We will not have assemblies in the school building, instead assemblies will be carried out via Google Meet in classrooms. Eventually we will have assemblies outside, once we are confident that children can remain in their bubbles in a safe way.
5. There will be no 3D displays allowed in corridors.

Protocolo en las aulas

1. Siempre que sea posible, las aulas se organizarán de tal modo que los alumnos estén en pupitres de dos alumnos. Procuraremos distribuir las mesas de tal manera que no parezca que se trata de un examen.
2. En las aulas habrá un máximo de entre 25 y 30 estudiantes conforme la legislación.
3. La biblioteca no abrirá durante las primeras semanas, hasta que hayamos asimilado los protocolos de seguridad. Cuando abra, avisaremos del protocolo a seguir. Es probable que los libros que se devuelvan tengan que estar 48 en cuarentena hasta que puedan ser prestados nuevamente. Los libros de lecturas guiadas estarán disponibles para ser usados únicamente por los alumnos de una “burbuja”.
4. No se celebrarán Asambleas en el colegio sino que tendrán lugar a través de Google Meet en las aulas. Más adelante organizaremos asambleas al aire libre, una vez que nos aseguremos que los alumnos se quedan en su “burbuja” y están seguros.
5. No habrá displays en los corredores.

Classroom Materials Protocol

1. The Primary Team will decide which learning resources children can use and which ones will be regularly cleaned during the day.
2. Each ‘bubble’ will have resources specifically for that group of children, such as colouring pens, glue sticks etc.
3. Primary teachers will create sets of certain resources that will only be used by their bubble group and will remain specifically in the bubble classroom.
4. In PE, non contact sports will be played and certain resources will be created for each bubble group.
5. Student ChromeBooks in Years 3,4,5 and 6 cannot be used or shared with other students who do not have them.
6. Students in Years 3,4,5 and 6 will be required to bring that own stationery set to school that will only be used by themselves, this will be left in the school for the duration of the term. The stationery kit needs to consist of a pen, pencil, rubber and ruler.

Protocolo en relación al material escolar

1. El equipo de primaria decidirá qué recursos educativos pueden ser utilizados por los estudiantes y cuáles se limpiarán regularmente durante la jornada escolar.
2. Cada “burbuja” tendrá recursos y materiales de uso exclusivo (como por ejemplo lápices de colores, pegamento, etc.).
3. Los profesores de primaria crearán conjuntos de recursos y materiales que serán utilizados exclusivamente por su grupo “burbuja” y que no saldrán del aula “burbuja”.
4. En clase de educación física (PE) no se practicarán actividades ni deportes de contacto y cada grupo “burbuja” dispondrá de sus propios recursos y materiales.
5. Los Chromebooks en Year 3 a Year 6 no se podrán prestar o compartir con otros.
6. Los estudiantes de Year 3 a Year 6 deberán traer su material escolar que consistirá en bolígrafo, lápiz, goma y regla, será de uso exclusivo no podrán prestarlo. Este material permanecerá en el colegio durante todo el trimestre.

School Movement Protocol

1. Students will be encouraged to remain in their classroom bubble and only leave to use the bathroom, go to lunch or the patio. Water can only be filled up at break and lunchtime.
2. There will be a one way system with the staircases. The staircase in the Main entrance will be for going ‘downstairs ’ only as well as the middle staircase. The remaining staircase at the opposite end of the building will be ‘upstairs’ only.
3. Students and staff will be encouraged to walk on the right hand side of the corridors. We will have vinyl displays on the walls and floor signalling this information.

Protocolo para la circulación en el colegio

1. Los estudiantes deben permanecer en las aulas y salir únicamente para ir al cuarto de baño, a almorzar o al patio. Sólo se podrán rellenar las botellas de agua durante el recreo o durante el almuerzo.
2. Las escaleras serán de sentido único. La escalera de la entrada principal será de bajada, así como la que está en mitad del edificio. La del fondo será sólo de subida.
3. Se aconseja a los estudiantes y al personal caminar por el lado derecho del pasillo. Habrá señales en los pasillos que así lo indiquen.

Lunch and Break Time Protocol

1. Students are expected to wear their mask on arrival to school, in lessons at break and lunchtimes whilst on the patio and leaving school.
2. In Year 1, break time snacks will be eaten in the classroom before going out to break. The lesson will stop at 10:45 to allow for this.
3. In Years 2-6, snacks will be eaten outside. Students will go to their dedicated break or lunch time patio at 10:55am with their mask.
4. Primary students will go to break 5 minutes before Secondary students at 10:55 am and enter the patio/padel courts in bubble groups. They will be only able to play with students in their bubble.
5. Year 1 will solely have access to the KS1 Patio at break time and lunch time.
6. Year 2 will solely have access to Padel Court 8 at break time and basketball green patio at lunch time.
7. Year 3 will solely have access to Padel Court 7 at break time and tennis court 1 at lunch time.
8. Year 4 will solely have access to Padel Court 6 at break time and tennis court 2 at lunch time.
9. Year 5 will solely have access to Padel Court 5 at break time and tennis court 3 at lunch time.
10. Year 6 will solely have access to Padel Court 4 at break time and tennis court 4 at lunch time.
11. Hand sanitizer will be available in the Dining Room.
12. All children are expected to have a school dinner, no other food is allowed to be brought into school from home, unless the family of the child has a previously agreed arrangement with the Principal.
13. Students will enter the dining room with their bubble year group and teacher. They will queue in the new one way system and they will then sit in their dedicated bubble group place.
14. On entering the Dining Room, the food will be already prepared on a tray along with cutlery, napkin and empty glass. Water will then be placed in every cup.
15. As soon as lunch has been eaten, students can go to their dedicated bubble area to play for the remaining hour.
16. Students are expected to use hand sanitizer in the classroom as soon as they return from either the toilet or the patio.
17. During lunch, there will be a daily rota for which Year group bubbles can also have access to the main patios where the tennis courts are.

Protocolo para el recreo y el almuerzo

1. Todos los alumnos deben utilizar mascarilla cuando lleguen al colegio, en clase, en el patio tanto a la hora del almuerzo como en el recreo, y cuando se vayan del colegio.
2. En Year 1 los bocadillos y snacks se comerán en clase antes de salir al recreo. Para ello la clase finalizará a las 10:45am.
3. De Year 2 a Year 6 los bocadillos y snacks se comerán en el patio. Los alumnos saldrán al patio a las 10:55 utilizando la mascarilla.
4. 4. Los alumnos de primaria saldrán al recreo 5 minutos antes de los de secundaria, y accederán al patio o a las pistas de padel en grupos “burbuja”. Sólo podrán jugar con alumnos de su propia “burbuja”.
5. Year 1 podrán ir únicamente al patio de KS1 durante el recreo y la pausa del almuerzo.
6. Year 2 podrán ir únicamente a la pista de padel nº 8 durante el recreo y a la cancha verde de baloncesto durante la pausa para el almuerzo.

14. Cuando los estudiantes entren en el comedor la comida estará ya preparada en una bandeja (con cubiertos, servilleta y un vaso vacío). El agua se servirá a continuación.
15. Cuando terminen de almorzar, los alumnos pueden ir a jugar al área que tengan asignada.
16. Nada más regresen del cuarto de baño o del patio deberán lavarse las manos con gel hidroalcohólico que hay en cada aula.
17. Durante la pausa para el almuerzo habrá una rotación diaria para que algunas clases ”burbuja” pueden acceder a los patios principales y a las pistas de tenis.

Aramark Protocol

1. Year 1 – Year 2 will have lunch from 12:30pm to 13:00pm.
2. Year 3 – Year 4 will have lunch from 13:00pm to 13:20pm.
3. Year 5 – Year 6 will have lunch from 13:20pm to 13:40pm.
4. The menu will consist of a first course, second course with garnish, bread and dessert.There will also be a vegetarian menu.
5. The trays will be given to students and staff by the kitchen staff together with the cutlery, napkin and glass for water. The idea is to avoid massive manipulation of the kitchenware.
6. Students from Year 2 will queue as usual for the menu to be served.
7. There will be a jug of water per table as always (it will be the only thing on the table) it will be handled by a single person who, in turn, is the one who serves the water.
8. There will be clear areas where bubble groups can eat, there will be two bubbles eating at any one time and one area will be free so that between one shift and another the tables and chairs can be cleaned.
9. The microwaves will not be available due to excessive handling, and therefore children who have previously had a packed lunch agreement prior to 2018 must not bring food in that requires heating up.

5. Con el fin de evitar la manipulación del material de cocina, el personal de cocina dará a los estudiantes y al personal del colegio la bandeja con los cubiertos, la servilleta y el vaso.
6. Como de costumbre, los estudiantes a partir de Year 2 formarán filas para que la comida se sirva.
7. Como de costumbre, en cada mesa habrá una jarra de agua (será el único objeto que haya en la mesa). Será puesto allí por una única persona (personal del colegio, o estudiante designado), que será también la encargada de servir el agua a los demás.
8. Habrá zonas separadas para que coman los grupos “burbuja”. Sólo comerán simultáneamente dos grupos “burbuja”, salvo para Years 11 y 12. Habrá un área libre para que las mesas y las sillas puedan ser limpiadas entre un turno y otro.
9. Por razones de higiene y sanidad no se podrán utilizar los micro-ondas. Por ello, los alumnos que traen termo con permiso anterior a 2018, no pueden traer comida que necesite ser calentada.

Leaving School Protocol

1. Teachers and Learning Assistants will bring the children out as usual to the Sports Club entrance.
2. One parent or dedicated adult per child can collect their child from the school at the end of the school day. The school must be made aware of who the dedicated adult is if different to the usual person.
3. Year 1 and Year 2 families can collect their child at 3:40pm.
4. Year 3 and Year 4 families can collect their child at 3:50pm.
5. Year 5 and Year 6 can collect their child at 4pm.
6. Parents must not enter the Sports Club until the directed time and leave immediately afterwards once they have their child/children. We understand that this may be a time to socialise but it cannot happen in such a small area.
7. No parents are allowed beyond the Sports Club Cafe.
8. Unfortunately, Grandparents are not permitted to collect their grandchild as we are trying to minimise risk.
9. Parents must not enter the Main building at the end of the day unless they have a scheduled appointment. Appointments will not be scheduled until at least 4:15pm. All school enquiries must be made by phone call or via email.
10. Can we please ask that families do not congregate in groups in the car park but collect their children and take them to their car as quickly as possible please.

9. Los padres no podrán entrar en el colegio cuando finalice el horario escolar salvo que tengan una cita con algún profesor o responsable. Las citas no se darán hasta las 4:15pm, como pronto. Las preguntas relacionadas con el colegio deberán hacerse por teléfono o por correo electronico.
10. Rogamos a las familias no formen grupos en el estacionamiento sino que recojan a sus hijos lo más rápidamente posible.

School Bus Protocol

1. Students, bus drivers and bus monitors must wear their mask at all times on the school bus.
2. Where possible, students will be encouraged to sit with their siblings and if they are travelling by themselves, they will be expected to sit with their year group. We understand that this will be difficult for some of our very youngest children.
3. The bus monitor will take the temperature of the students each day.
4. There are gel dispensers on the doors of the bus that children will be expected to use when boarding the bus.
5. The buses will be disinfected twice a day by Marbella Bus Company.
6. Students will be assigned their own seat which they will use at all times.

Breakfast Club and Extra Curricular Protocol

1. Children can be in a 'learning bubble' as well as a 'breakfast club' and 'extra curricular bubble'.
2. Breakfast Club will run as normal but will be in the Sports Club cafe, children can enter from 8am and a healthy breakfast will be provided. They will be expected to sit 1.5 meters away from other children.
3. Children, where possible, will sit with their siblings or in their bubble groups on specific tables.
4. Staff, Primary and Secondary children will be expected to wear their mask when they enter and when they have finished their breakfast.
5. The expectation for Extra Curricular clubs is that once a child has signed up for a club, they are signed up for the whole term and cannot change mid-way through a term. Each extra curricular group will be treated as a bubble.
6. Students who have signed up for extra curricular will be escorted to the Dining Room at the end of the day by a teacher or Learning Assistant. The children will wait with the Learning Assistant until the extracurricular monitor arrives who will then take the group to their space.
7. Where possible extra curricular activities will not involve physical contact.
8. The Extra Curricular Monitors will bring the children outside of the building for collection. Families must wait in the carpark or in the Sports Club outside area.
9. Parents are not allowed to enter the school building or go beyond the Sports Club entrance.

Protocolo para el desayuno y para actividades extraescolares

5. En relación a las actividades extrescolares, cuando un alumno se inscriba en una actividad extraescolar deberá continuarla durante todo el trimestre y no podrá cambiarse antes de que termine el trimestre. Cada grupo de estudiantes de cada actividad se considerará una “burbuja”.
6. Una vez finalicen las clases, los estudiantes que realicen actividades extraescolares serán llevados al comedor por un profesor o por un asistente. Acompañados por él, esperarán a que los monitores de cada actividad los recojan para llevarles al lugar correspondiente.
7. Cuando sea posible, las actividades extraescolares no implicarán contacto físico.
8. Una vez finalizadas las actividades, los monitores conducirán a los estudiantes fuera del colegio para que sean recogidos. Las familias les esperarán en el estacionamiento o fuera del club deportivo.
9. Los padres no podrán entrar en el colegio ni ir más allá de la cafetería del club deportivo.

Visitors and Family Visits to School Protocol

1. Unfortunately for the foreseeable future, we will not be able to allow families or visitors into the main school buildings with the exception of new admission visits and a safety protocol has been written for this.
2. In Primary, only one member of a family or dedicated adult is allowed to bring their child to school. Sadly, we cannot permit grandparents as we want to minimise the risk for all.
3. Should a parent want a meeting with a member of staff, the expectation is that the meeting is arranged with the member of staff via email and the meeting will be via Google Meet. In specific circumstances if this is not possible a face to face meeting maybe be arranged in the school building.

When will I be informed if someone in my child’s class has a positive COVID test?

1. When the confirmed case is a student and the communication is received by the school during school hours, we will proceed to contact the families of the students in the same class so that, in a staggered manner, they can proceed to pick them up, maintaining the protective measures (mask, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and physical distance), informing them that they must begin a period of quarantine.
2. EYFS will be picked up from the EYFS building, Primary from the Sports Club and Secondary from the Main entrance.
3. When the confirmed case is a student and the communication is received by the school outside school hours, we will proceed to contact the families of the students in the same class so that they do not come to the school, informing them that they must initiate a quarantine period.
4. The health services will contact the families of this class.
5. When a whole class or year group has to self isolate for 10 days distance learning will begin for those students only.
6. The teachers may also be required to self isolate at home so some lessons for other year groups may well not take place in school. In this situation students will be able to use their ChromeBooks and connect to the lesson with the teacher isolated at home. Students will be required to bring headphones to school.

1. The epidemiology services in coordination with the Unit of Prevention of Occupational Risks, will identify and contact the main class teachers and any other teachers that might be at risk.
2. Distance Learning will begin immediately. In this situation students will be able to use their ChromeBooks and connect to the lesson with the teacher isolated at home. Students will be required to bring headphones to school.
3. Families will be informed about who the teacher is and the classes that will be affected.

What happens if a teacher has to self quarantine because they have contracted COVID?

1. We will contact families and our community when we know that a teacher has a positive COVID test.
2. The school will contact the local Health authorities and they will begin the process of identifying anyone in school who has had close contact with the teacher.
3. The epidemiology services, in coordination with the Unit for the Prevention of Risks at Work, will contact this teacher and will proceed to make an evaluation of the situation and the consideration of possible close contacts of the rest of the teachers and students involved.
4. Any person who has had close contact with the teacher will be contacted and depending on their level of contact will be advised to self isolate.
5. The students who are taught by the teacher will be set home learning via Google Classroom where possible. Depending on the teacher's condition they may not be able to set home learning by the teacher if they are too unwell.

My child has a vulnerable condition that makes them more VULNERABLE to COVID can they come to school?

1. If your child has any of the following conditions they must be checked with their Doctor e.g., cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic lung disease, cancer undergoing active treatment, immunosuppression or high blood pressure, chronic kidney failure, chronic liver disease, or morbid obesity.
2. Your Doctor must provide a medical note to clarify your child's situation and whether they are able to attend school.
3. They may be admitted to the school, provided that their clinical condition is controlled and allows it, and that protective measures are rigorously maintained.

En el supuesto de 2 casos confirmados de covid en la misma clase: Toda persona que se considere un contacto cercano del caso confirmado será contactada y se le indicará que se aísle durante 10 días. Las autoridades sanitarias se pondrán en contacto con ellos y decidirán si es necesaria una prueba de Covid. Incluso en el supuesto de tener un resultado negativo en esa prueba, los contactos cercanos deberán auto aislarse durante 10 días completos.
2. Según la Junta de Andalucía, un “contacto estrecho” se define como estar sin mascarilla durante más de 15 minutos en un espacio cerrado y sin respetar la distancia recomendada.

What happens if there are 3 or more positive COVID cases in the school at any one point?

1. If we have 3 positive cases they will contact the close contacts and these close contacts will have to do the quarantine. If these students are tested positive it is likely that they will do the 10 days quarantine and the school will look for new possible close contacts with these new positive cases. The health authorities are only closing class groups rather than the whole school in situations where there are lots of positive COVID cases in any one bubble.
2. The current advice from the Junta de Andalucía is that “close contact” is defined as without a mask for more than 15 minutes in an enclosed space and not observing social distancing.

1. Cuando un colegio tiene casos positivos de COVID, las autoridades sanitarias determinan quién debe hacerse una prueba y si de hecho se cierra una clase. Si tenemos tres casos positivos, se comunicarán con los contactos estrechos y esos contactos estrechos tendrán que hacer la cuarentena. Si estos alumnos dan positivo en la prueba, es probable que hagan la cuarentena de 10 días y el colegio buscará nuevos posibles contactos estrechos con estos nuevos casos positivos. Las autoridades sanitarias solamente están cerrando grupos de clases en vez de todo el colegio en situaciones en las que hay muchos casos positivos de COVID en cualquier burbuja.

What happens to the room/s where anyone with a positive COVID test has been in?

1. Regarding classrooms where a case has been confirmed, the spaces where this case may have remained -including teaching and non-teaching staff- will be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the provisions of the reinforced Cleaning and Disinfecting Plan, including air conditioning filters as well as adequate and reinforced ventilation over time.
2. This operation will also be carried out with the other closed spaces in which the confirmed case has remained or carried out activities, paying special attention to all those surfaces susceptible to contact.

¿Qué sucede en las aulas en las que haya estado una persona que sea caso confirmado de COVID?

1. Todas las aulas en que haya estado esa persona, serán limpiadas y desinfectadas conforme a las previsiones del Plan de Limpieza y Desinfección. También se desinfectarán los filtros de aire acondicionado y se reforzará la ventilación.
2. Se limpiarán también otras zonas cerradas donde esa persona haya estado o realizado actividades, poniendo particular atención en las superficies con las que haya estado en contacto.

What happens if my child is self isolating at home?

1. Any student who is self isolating because a close relative has a positive COVID test will be expected to self isolate at home for 10 days or when the Doctor or hospital says so. They will need to keep the school informed and Escarlata Godino Rios our school Nurse will contact the family periodically to see how they are nurse@britishschoolmalaga.com
2. For students who are self isolating home learning will be shared via Google Classroom so students will need to check their emails etc.

¿Qué sucede si mi hijo está auto-aislado en casa?

1. Todos los estudiantes que estén auto-aislados porque un familiar próximo sea un caso confirmado de COVID deberán permanecer en casa durante 10 días, o durante el tiempo que los médicos dispongan. 2. Los estudiantes que estén auto-aislados en casa tendrán acceso a Google Classroom y deberán consultar su cuenta de e-mail etc.
