Note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! Just a short update for you this week. It was fabulous that our Y6 children enjoyed a visit out of school this week! They went to Crucial Crew to learn about personal safety including safety in the home, on the road, online, anti-social behaviour, criminal responsibility and emergency first aid. The children represented the school brilliantly - well done year 6s!

Whole school attendance is now 94.0%, it has unfortunately moved the wrong way this week. Miss Robinson's class have the highest attendance this week at 96.7% - well done class Y3/4R!

Phase Leader/ Head teacher Meetings

Our Head teacher/Phase leader meeting for parents of children in Key Stage 1 (Y1/Y2) will be held on Monday 11th October at 2:30 in the school hall. We hope that you'll be able to pop to school a little earlier than the end of the school day for KS1 children to come to meet with myself and Mrs Cox.

The Head teacher/Phase leader meeting for upper Key Stage 2 (Y5/Y6) will take place at 2:45 on Monday 18th October in the school hall. Mrs McArdle and I look forward to meeting parents of Y5/Y6 children then.

Our new SENDCO

I'm really excited that we have a new Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. Miss Gray is now our SENDCO and has already made a great start in understanding the needs of children across the school. We're working together to ensure that all of our children get the best possible provision. Miss Gray and I look forward to working in partnership with children and parents to support the best possible achievement. If you'd like to speak to Miss Gray about this role or your child's needs, you can contact her via school or the email: SENCO@sqp.wwpat.org
