WEDDINGS By Iris Imprints Photography, inc.

Congratulations on your wedding!

Welcome to our wedding guide! Here you will find some general information about your big day. Planning your wedding, even if its a smaller affair, takes lots of time and you are bound to have many questions. Hopefully this serves as a quick intro to what you can expect from us, but we do recommend that you set up a in-person consultation so that we can really get to know each other and go over everything in greater detail.

Hi, I'm Katja and I founded the company back in 2012 and started shooting weddings the following year. I'm a portrait photographer. In 2015, my husband joined the team and specializes in boudoir. Weddings are fast paced and fun, and definitely keep me on my toes! While I work with you to give you exactly what you want, my style is clean and classic. I do enjoy more romantic edits as well, since your big day is all about love. My strengths as a photographer is making you look your very best, and making you feel relaxed so you can enjoy your day!

Our Packages

We quote each wedding individually, because really no two weddings are alike. We do have basic collections to give you an idea of our pricing listed further down in this guide. No matter which package you choose, our wedding coverage includes:

High resolution images: Your images are carefully chosen, edited, and include light retouching (such as blemishes/bruises), and you can expect to receive 30-40 images per hour of coverage as a bare minimum. Usually we deliver more, but cannot guarantee any number of images, because of logistics, such as travel etc. We do not give "all" images taken on your day, because you would just end up duplicate photos or ones with closed eyes or odd expressions. Then you would be wasting time by sifting through to find the great shots. We also do not offer unedited or "RAW" images. We're professional photographers, and just like a baker, do not just hand you a bowl of ingredients and send you on your way. We only deliver a complete product. We do offer extensive editing such as composits as well, and will quote those jobs individually.

Online gallery: Once your images are ready they will be loaded to an online gallery. Here, your guests can view all of your images, and order prints and products such as canvas or metals. This means you don't have to serve as a middle person. Prints are shipped directly to your guests. Here is what our online galleries look like:

Delivery: Your images will be delivered approximately 4-6 weeks after your wedding. You may choose between a USB drive or DVD disks to fit your personal computer needs. We also include an instant download feature through your online gallery. While we keep all of the images on back up hard drives for all of our clients, we cannot guarantee them after delivery. Therefore we recommend that you back them up on at least two devices after you have received them from us.

Hours & Overtime: The number of hours you need depend on what you are looking to get covered. Most couple choose all day coverage for traditional affairs. This allows you to really tell a story about your day, from getting ready to leaving the reception. For simpler weddings, such as second weddings or elopements, couples typically choose our 4 hour packages to cover the ceremony and formal photographs following. We ask that you reserve at least two hours for formal photographs if you have a big family and several bridesmaids or groomsmen. Once your photographer arrives, the hours included are continuous. Overtime is available based on the photographer's availability. We typically do not book any events before or after weddings.

What's in my bag & attire? I shoot with a Nikon D750, D810 and/or Sony as7R II camera. I will always have a second body, extra batteries and memory cards with me as well. My favorite portrait lens is the 85 1.4, but for weddings, I mostly use a 24-70 2.8mm. For weddings unless otherwise requested, I always wear a black suit with a light colored top or blouse and flat black sneakers. I believe in looking professional. If your wedding is more casual, I will gladly dress to fit the theme of your day.

Do you offer prints and albums?

Of course! We LOVE prints!! Why are they so important? Well, a print from a professional lab can easily last up to 200 years. Our albums and canvases are heirloom quality as well. While digitals are great in theory, could you imagine if your aunt handed you a floppy drive to look at her images? What would you do with an older digital format like that? While computers are getting better at preserving digital files, they certainly aren't fool proof. Prints from the big box stores are fine for snapshots, but do not do your images justice. Same goes for canvas or metals. The products just do not last, they usually look soft instead of sharp, and colors, especially skin tones, are off. Why spend thousands on great portraits to not showcase their true beauty. We've scoured and ordered from most professional labs and chosen the ones that work best with our style of photography and editing.

The following is our current pricing guide for weddings. Please remember, we can offer you a custom quote based on what you need.

Do you offer first looks?

Yes!! In fact, most photographers hope you consider this option. When a first look is done before the wedding, we have more time for photographs and won't be rushed should the ceremony and receiving lines go a bit longer than anticipated.
