Juanjuan Li Portfolio

My name is Juanjuan Li. I am a second year nursing student from BSN-PhD program at Florida International University Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Science.

I completed BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) at Ball State University (Muncie, IN) in 2014, and started BSN-PhD program at FIU in 2015. I currently works as a research assistant with Dr. Caicedo and Dr. Brown. I went to SNRS 2017 (31ST Conference of Southern Nursing Research Society) with Dr. Caicedo for the “parents of medically complex children” poster presentation.

Started at 2014, I have been working with professors and student at Management Information System Department of FIU. Our nursing informatics research process paper was accepted by DESRIST 2016 (11TH International Conference on Design Science Research in Information System and Technology). Two topics we are working on currently: computer nursing assignment and nursing computer charting system.

My publication

My Research interests focus on international students’ healthcare access in the United States. I am bilingual (English and Chinese). My dissertation research project will identify the barriers to Chinese students’ access to the healthcare service in the U.S.
