New Quarter : Q&A Amanda Hirsch

As the new quarter rolls around, many questions are being asked. Some questions have been polled together and teachers have been asked these said questions.

Mr. Chidester (AP US History & Reg. Government) has said that his schedule has changed as he is, "Giving no summative for the entire semester." He has adapted his Government class to not have the winter exam located at the end of the second quarter. Although, his AP US History class has been left the same, as it has the "ultimate summative final test at the end of the year," thus leading his teaching style to be the same for the sophomores of this year. He mentions, "the only difference is the writing for just about every student is farther behind," because the class of 2024 had a much different start to high school, thus lacking the information the students needed.

Ms. Lewis (Health, Anatomy, Athletic Training) says her changed schedule with no exams has left her with "not many adjustments without having exams," but it allows her to "spend more time on immersive curriculum such as CPR and the Driving Simulator."

Mrs. Stubenrauch (HE1, AP Literature) has found that "being flexible and reasonable with students," has been a change that she will further implement in her future of teaching. She wishes for people to realize that "it is okay to need more time!"
