Revolutions In Technology BY FINN AMITY

PAST: THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

CAUSES

Britain's wealth, the Agricultural Revolution, the population explosion, and a need for more transportation were all huge factors in the beginning of the Industrial Revolutions.

ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY

The textile industry was heavily improved thanks to inventions such as the flying shuttle, the spinning jenny, and the water frame.
Transportation and farming were heavily impacted during the Industrial Revolution because of things like the seed drill, dikes, canals, the steam engine, and more.

PROS AND CONS

"The production of too many useful things results in too many useless people" -Karl Marx
PROS: People had more money, food was healthier and tasted better, and many methods of transportation were created.
CONS: People were more susceptible to diseases, pollution due to factories was (and still is) horrible, and people were losing their jobs and their money.

PRESENT: THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION

CAUSES

Advancements in technology, people having more money to invent, and the birth of the internet were all main factors to the beginnings of the Digital Revolution

ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY

Advancements in electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and cellphones were largely impacted by the Digital revolution.
The Digital Revolution contributed to the creation of social medias and communication in many ways, and made sharing your life with people who aren't there for the experiences much easier.

PROS AND CONS

Technology is a userful servant but a dangerous master - Christian Lous Lang
PROS: We can talk to people anywhere at anytime, people have access to calling and alerting paramedics and cops when they are hurt, and pictures can be taken if anything anywhere at the click of a button.
CONS: there is less face to face communication, everything technological costs A LOT of money, and the pollution from cars is astronomical.

FUTURE: TECHNILOGICAL REVOLUTION OF MEDICINE

CAUSES

Some causes for medical technology improvements are the research doctors and scientists are doing, research on small scales and animals, and given the rate that medicine is advancing in the present, it will be even better in the future.

ADVANCEMENTS IN TECHNOLOGY

Some technological advancements in the future of medicine might be cures for "incurable" diseases. This would be accomplished with medical therapy such as chemotherapy and counter measure that eradicate diseases. All of this will serve the purpose of a healthier population, longer lifespans, and happier people.

PROS AND CONS

If I could time travel into the future, my first port of call would be the point where medical technology is at it's best because, like most people on this planet, I have an aversion to dying - Neal Asher
PROS: By advancing medicine to cur fatal diseases, we would have healthier people, less cases of said diseases, and an overall happier population
CONS: However, making the medicine and doing the research could be expensive, there could be a lot of side effects, and the medicine to cure the "incurable" diseases could take to long to work on some people and not help at all.
