WAYNE DRAIN Ministries | Winter Spring 2018 Newsletter

Dear friends,

I have been on an extraordinary journey since September of last year. Leaving my role as Founding Senior Pastor of Fellowship of Christians after 45 years has left me at times full of gratitude and at other times challenged by the amount of changes that have needed to be embraced. God has been so good to us through this transition. Our home church seems to be prospering under our new Senior Leader. June and I are adjusting well to this season of increased travel in ministry. We seem to be entering a fruitful season of pioneering new fields of grace. I want to keep our friends updated with some highlights of 2018 up to this point.

Wayne at Impact Church

After a great Christmas with our family, June and I enjoyed being in our home church, The Fellowship, during January. It refreshed us to participate in our annual 21 Day Fast. The Lord confirmed a number of things I was hearing in my spirit for 2018. I spoke at Impact Church in Sherwood, Arkansas on January 14 in their morning service. In the evening I did a class on “Moving in the Prophetic” for Bethel School of Ministry. I was invited to High Ridge Church in Longview, Texas for their very first presbytery the following week. Great to work in team with Pastors Bill Leckie and Mallory Bassham! On the last weekend, we attended an Arkansas Awakening Leaders Retreat in Branson, Missouri with three other pastors and wives: Terry & Kim Nance, Dennis & Leanne Owens, and Philip & Sherry Blunk. We are praying hard for a spiritual awakening in Arkansas.

From Arkansas to England

It was my pleasure to speak to The Fellowship on “Hearing From God” on February 11. This would be my theme for ministering in the “Naturally Supernatural Winter Conference” at Soul Survivor Church in Watford, England on February 13-17. From there I went on to minister a few days in Henley Baptist Church in Henley on Thames. Next up, I continued training up Presbytery Teams for Pioneer Network of churches across the U.K. Our teams then ministered in Prophetic Presbyteries in River Church in Maidenhead and New Generation Church in Sidcup, England.

MARCH 2018

Gathering of Pioneers

My time in England continued at the “Pioneer Leaders Conference” in Southampton, England March 1-3. Despite a snow storm that generally shut down the roads, subways, and airports, we had a strong core of leaders who somehow made it from France, India, Australia, Africa, Italy, Wales, England, and the U.S.A. It didn’t escape us that on the week after Dr. Billy Graham died we were privileged to minister on the same platform he preached from when he first came to England in 1948. Chris Abington and I were honored to share about our journey of leadership transition back home. It seemed to resonate with quite a few leaders who are personally experiencing what seems to be a worldwide generational transfer. I finished out my time in England with our good friends at New Generation Church in Sidcup. On this visit to the United Kingdom, I spoke 24 times in 21 days! A BIG highlight was seeing 33 people pray to receive Jesus in salvation!

APRIL 2018

April was a busy month for us. I enjoyed getting to minister in New Life Church in Corpus Christie, Texas in their first ever presbytery April 6-8. Loved being on a team with Pastor Tom Lane and Lisa Lane Corley of Gateway Church. The next weekend, I was back speaking in The Fellowship in Russellville, Arkansas where I continue to serve on the Elder and preaching teams. What a joy to end out the month with my good friends at Resurrection Life Church in Picayune, Mississippi! Was there for their “Worship and Prophetic Conference.” So good to be on a team with Pastor Ed Ivie of Living Waters Church in Estero, Florida, Pastors Mark & Sandy Jobe, Mallory & Boyd Bassham and Worship Leader, Rita Springer, all of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. We had some awesome times of worship and prophetic ministry. And the crawfish wasn’t bad either! Two big highlights for me were seeing at least five more people coming to Jesus in salvation and praying for several folks to be healed.
