Songs for a Winter's Night Warm traditions are passed on season after season by student musicians.

The winter season of special performances begins next week with the Livingston High School Music Department's showcase of student musicians. The LHS Orchestra/Chorus Concert will take place on Tuesday evening, Dec. 13 featuring the String Orchestra, Chamber Singers, Notations, Chamber Orchestra, and Concert Chorus. They will be performing selections by Irving Berlin and Stephen Sondheim, Vivaldi, Beethoven, and Strauss. The LHS Band Concert will take place on Thursday, Dec. 15. The Concert Band, Symphonic Band and the Wind Symphony will play works by Reed, Lauridson, and Goldman and a few winter and holiday favorites. Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. They are free and open to the public. Winter is a special time in all of Livingston's schools, filled with warm traditions and great performances by talented young singers and musicians.
