In this class, students will gain experience and knowledge of a variety of Art tools and mediums, as well learn about a variety of artists, movements, and cultures throughout history. The focus of this class is to gain creative problem-solving and collaboration skills, as well as discovering new ways to be successful! To me, art is much more than painting and drawing. Art is a way of thinking, a way of looking at the world with a sense of creative wonderment. Art is seeing the possibilities....and figuring out how to make that possibility a reality! We will be creating art, both 2-D and 3-D, as well as digital (computer generated) art !
As a way to keep parents connected to what is happening in the Art Studio, we will be using a computer application called SeeSaw to document work and show growth throughout the year! For more information on this great program, click on link below.....

Art Room collecting recycling for projects!
- papertowel/t.p. tubes/wrapping paper
- Baby food containers with lids
- Plastic containers: yogurt, margarine, cool whip, fruit cups
- Cereal boxes (flattened)
- Plastic gallon milk/juice jugs cleaned, no lids
- Metal (wire) Hangers
- Greeting/X-mas cards (front only)
- styrofoam egg cartons
