4th/5th Grade Pup Running Registration
Pup Running is a Carmel school-based youth running program that is committed to encouraging fitness among elementary age children through the sport of running. Through fall cross country and spring track seasons, Pup Running strives to develop positive character qualities in students as they train and compete in cross country and track races—qualities like: Good Health, Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Discipline, Perseverance, and Best Effort.
Registration is online only and it must be done by March 26 - there is no late registration!
Our Carmel Elementary Pup Running Club is being coached by parent volunteers Matthew Baller, Rebecca McGuckin, Kevin Hetrick and Diane McAndrews. The cost is $17.00 with Carmel Elementary Team Pup Running t-shirt; $10.00 without a t-shirt.
Practices will be immediately after school, until 4:00 pm:
- Tuesday April 9 and Thursday April 11
- Tuesday April 16 and Thursday April 18
- Tuesday April 23, Tuesday April 30 and Tuesday May 7
Pup Meet #1 April 25 5:30 p.m. at Carmel Middle School

HotBox Pizza Madness
March 19-April 8 is HotBox Pizza Madness and our school is competing against other elementary schools in our area for the most sales. We will still get the usual 20% of our sales back....but the school that has the highest sales will get bumped up to 25%!
Everything counts - dine in, delivery, and pick up. Families just need to mention "Carmel Elementary" when ordering!
Kids Serving Carmel Summer Camp
Sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Carmel, the 2019 Kids Serving Carmel Camp is a week-long, fun-filled summer day camp that offers campers an opportunity to learn about community needs and participate in service activities to benefit the Carmel community. Each day is filled with community service projects, games, activities, and both individual and group reflection time.
Dates: June 17-21
Camper Ages: 10-15
Where: Camp will be hosted at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church (1402 W. Main Street) with daily service activities occurring at various locations within the Carmel community.
Cost: $195 until April 15th, $225 thereafter
Hours: Camp will run from 9:00–3:30 daily. Dropoff is from 8:45-9:00 and pickup is between 3:30-4:00.

Last PTO Meeting of the Year
Join us for the last PTO meeting of the school year on Friday, April 19 at 8:15 in the cafeteria. We will be voting on the 2019-20 budget and slate of officers. Plus, we will welcome guidance counselors from Carmel Middle who will be sharing some tips for transitioning to middle school!
Kindergarten Registration and Building Tours
We are registering kindergartners for the 2019-20 school year! We will also be hosting brief building tours for incoming kindergartners on the following Fridays at 9:00 am: March 22, April 12 and April 26.
Volunteering at School
As a reminder, any parent or guardian who wants to volunteer at class parties, field trips, after school events, etc. MUST have a current background check on file with CCS. These are good for 5 years and are valid at all Carmel Clay Schools.
Using PowerSchool on Your Smartphone
The Powerschool Portal App that is available on the app store is the "lite" version of the website and doesn't show all the features the site has to offer. Follow the instructions below to add the PowerSchool Parent Portal website to your Apple or Android phone's home screen and have access to everything the parent portal has to offer!
