TRANSPIRE NEWSLETTER JUNE 2019

Highlights

Belfairs 7 Wood Walk

The month of May kicked off with another outdoors event. This time a small group met up at Belfairs Woodland Centre for a 5.5 mile stroll through beautiful woodlands. The highlight of the event was seeing hundreds of bluebells that were in bloom.

Meet the Creatures

Back by popular demand we were pleased to host another event with RC Exotics and their collection of animals, insects and reptiles! We had lots of new faces, including local families that had heard about the event.

Meet & Eat @ Twenty One

Our month end event featured a beginners makeup masterclass by the talented Megan Lilly-Ford aka (LazyGirlMUA). The class enabled participants to get an understanding of how to build up a base, contour and blush, steps for a 'smokey eye' look, applying eye liner and highlighting. Everyone was also able to follow along if they wanted and to ask any questions during the class.

A thank you to everyone that volunteered, especially Jane King for her amazing cakes and William Street for doing the buffet!

Thank you

Once again a thank you to those of you that donated to 'The Wrong Trousers' clothing stall at our last Meet and Eat, and to Jane King for helping to run the stall.

Supporting Transpire with Donations

Over the last three years Transpire have been very fortunate to have the financial support from a number of organisations. Last year we were awarded a grant by the People's Health Trust. This fund has had a huge impact on the group. Enabling Transpire as a voluntary community group to run multiple events throughout the year. But we still need donations to help keep the group running sustainably.

Did you know that on average each Meet & Eat event costs £150 to run. This includes venue hire, food and drink for the buffet and the raffle prizes. These are some of our most popular events, enjoyed by everyone in our local community. Transpire also has other operational costs like running our phone service, website hosting, book keeping, printed material such as leaflets, insurances and safeguarding checks.

You can help support Transpire in the following ways:
