Employee Survey Feedback Data

Thank you so much to everyone that provided their feedback to the employee survey. This was useful information that we hope to be able to use to provide a more enhanced work experience for our team. After reviewing the feedback that we received we were able to identify that training is a main area of opportunity for us. The Leadership Team is actively working to improve the new employee training process as well as continued training opportunities throughout the year. In addition, we are framing a schedule for fitness trainings that will be happening at the Club in 2020. We will be providing more specifics on these as they relate to your departments in the coming months. Another area of opportunity is communication. We know how important it is to stay connected with the different members of your team but that is sometimes hard when so many work different schedules. We are actively researching and testing out a few methods that will help to foster a more united team and allow for easier communication amongst your colleagues. If you have any other feedback or information you would like to share please reach out, our door is always open! Thank you! Next Survey – Q1 of 2020

Employee Book Club

Every month, we will meet to discuss a new book related to business, human resources, leadership, or personal growth. This book club is a great way to connect with employees in other departments, keep open minds, learn new ideas and promote discussion of these topics and concepts as a group.

Book Club Meeting: Wednesday, November 20th at 12:30-1:30pm.

We picked two shorter titles this month. The Fred Factor can be read in a few sittings. Who Moved My Cheese is said to take less than an hour!

The Fred Factor

In his powerful book The Fred Factor, motivational speaker Mark Sanborn recounts the true story of Fred, the mail carrier who passionately loves his job and who genuinely cares about the people he serves. Because of that, he is constantly going the extra mile while handling the mail, and sometimes watching over the houses, of the people on his route, treating everyone he meets as a friend. Where others might see delivering mail as monotonous drudgery, Fred sees an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those he serves. By following these principles, and by learning from and teaching other "Freds", you too can excel in your career and make your life extraordinary. As Mark Sanborn makes clear, each of us has the potential be a Fred. The Fred Factor shows you how.

Who Moved My Cheese?

A simple parable that reveals profound truths. It is an amusing and enlightening story of four characters who live in a "Maze" and look for "Cheese" to nourish them and make them happy. In the story, the characters are faced with unexpected change. Eventually, one of them deals with it successfully, and writes what he has learned from his experience on the Maze walls. When you come to see "The Handwriting on the Wall," you can discover for yourself how to deal with change, so that you can enjoy less stress and more success (however you define it) in your work and in your life. Written for all ages, the story takes less than an hour to read, but its unique insights can last a lifetime.
