Predator: An animal that naturally preys on other animals.

Prey: An animal that is hunted or killed by another for food.

Lions are big cats that live together in "prides." They are social animals. They are predators.

Cheetahs are the fastest land animal and can travel at speeds of up to 70 MPH. They have to be that fast because they aren't very strong. They are predators.

Antelopes are herbivores and eat mainly grass. They have hooves that make it easy to run or walk in the mud. They are prey.

Gazelles are also herbivores and can reach speeds of up to 50 MPH. They are prey.
