Georgia is bordered by Alabama to the West, South Carolina to the East, Florida to the South, and Tennessee and North Carolina to the North. Georgia's Capital(Atlanta) is located towards the central part of Georgia. Georgia is east of the Mississippi.

History

In Georgia the cities Savannah, Louisville, Augusta, Milledgeville, and now Atlanta have all been the capital of Georgia. For a while in Georgia's history, Georgia was an Agricultural state with interests in cotton and other cash crops.Georgia was the thirteenth the Thirteen colonies.Georgia is named after Britain's King George the Second, for reasons that he signed the royal charter that established the colony in 1732.

Georgia's cuisine ranges from Seafood to Fried Chicken and many other kinds of foods like grits. Georgia is known for some famous authors like Alice Walker and Margaret Mitchell. They are also known for a famous rock band known as R.E.M and they sing rock. Also for Ray Charles who was known for being blind and sang blues and jazz.

There are Forty-Five state parks spread throughout Georgia, in the highland region there are four parks the Cloudland Canyon, Fort Mountain, James Floyd park, Or Red Top Mountain. Another thing is the Georgia Aquarium, located in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia Aquarium contains tens of thousands of fish and other sea creatures. Another place to visit is the Zoo Atlanta also in Atlanta, Georgia. In the zoo Atlanta there are 7 different exhibits in the zoo a Parakeet adventure, carnivores, African Plains, Giant Pandas, Asian forests, reptiles, and a children zoo. Another place is the Six Flag which is located in Austell, Georgia.In the Six Flags there are over eleven roller coasters and four water rides.
