Middle School students write what they love about Wheeler on Wheeler's Day of Giving.

Vol. 1 Issue 12

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Wheeler's Day of Giving reached and surpassed its $100,000 goal in under 24-hours. An achievement and testament to the incredible community that supports the people and programs at our school.

Students share why they love Wheeler, here is what our 2nd grade had to say:

I have the best teacher in 2nd grade and friends - Amara 2030

I love math it is just great. It is a great school. - Concetta 2030

Wheeler has enormous structures and amazing features. It also has a bunch of buildings and amazing friends. - Devin 2030

You get to write stories with whatever words you want, and you get something called a "pillar" and it helps you organize your writing. It helps me a lot when I write. - Rachel 2030

Lunch is awesome! My favorite is pizza. - Henry 2030

I have really great friends at Wheeler School. - Devin 2030

Sometimes in math we get to play Reflex Math. In two days I'll unlock a new game. - Brody 2030

This Week

This Week at Wheeler we are grateful for so many things! First, for the energetic show of support, we received on Wheeler's Day of Giving, and for our dedicated faculty who continue to learn without limits (see the workshop video here!) We shared the news that after 42 years, our Athletic Director Jon Donahue, is retiring, Molecular Biology showed us how they look at DNA, and Spanish 3 Honors were out in the community again building meaningful relationships that extend beyond the classroom. Our first and second graders shared thoughts of gratefulness with fall foliage, and have you seen our mural on Thayer Street? Brown Daily Herald sure did. Sage Dining served up a delicious feast with the help of a few familiar faces, and our students of color mentors and mentees spent time together before we part ways next week for Thanksgiving recess.

Did we mention yet that we're grateful?
