STANDARDIZED TESTING IS TOO RUDIMENTARY

Many students never got the opportunity to realize their true potential because they are all tested on the same level and in the same way. This “one size fits all” approach used in standardized testing is an educational malpractice that is putting students at a disadvantage and it should be eliminated from the school system.
Bill Gates, one of the world's wealthiest and successful icon and owner of the world's largest software business, Microsoft, was a Harvard drop out and he admitted and I quote " I failed my exams in some subjects but my friend passed in all. Now he is an engineer for Microsoft and I AM THE OWNER ." Bill Gate has justified that grades do not define intelligence or the outcome of one's future.
Albert Einstein was labelled as a slow learner by his teacher and he received average or sub-par grades on his test and was also labelled "dull-witted" and was forced to leave school at 15 years of age. However, he knew his potential and he used his creativity and skills to his advantage and later became a noble prize winning physicist. Standardized testing does not account for the intricacies involved with an individual's learning; hence, it is an inaccurate benchmark to judge one's intelligence or determine how well one will excel in his endeavors.
Thomas Edison was another successful individual who surpassed the stigma that is attached to the standardized testing regime. Thomas Edison was labelled as an addled student while in school and he could barely passed his exams and eventually was forced to drop out. Thomas Edison became the most famous and productive inventor of all time, with more than 1,000 patents in his name, including the electric light bulb, phonograph, and motion picture camera. He became a self-made multimillionaire and won a Congressional Gold Medal.
