Junior Year of Advanced Art Shauna Richardson

I took advanced art to improve my art skills. While taking this class, I will keep doing new things in the art field to give me more experience.

The project that I am most proud of is my ceramic owl. It is my favorite because it turned out way better than what I had expected and the colors of it all look really well together. My art has improved this year because I've been practicing. At the beginning of the year, I had no idea how to build clay or throw on the wheel but I've been practicing with it to get better.

A project that I wish I had more time on or maybe could have finished and done better was the painting of my cardinal. I never finished it because it was a side project while waiting for my owl to get fired so once my owl was done, I never finished it. I feel like I could finish it and maybe tough up sport I've already done to make it look better.

The top two artistic behaviors that I have improved on the most is "Create Original Art" & "Risk Taking". This year, I'm doing things that I've never done before so that involves taking risks since I'm doing something new. While doing that, I'm also creating my own projects. I'm putting my own mind into something that I can do in art.

A goal I have for myself in advanced art is to keep practicing in throwing to get better at making pots. I want to get better in clay all together. I also would like to get better at acrylic painting. I have painted a picture before but I feel like it could have been better, I just have to work with it a little more.
